Yeah, I think her alchemy is pretty much self-taught. She did figure out its principle all by herself after all.

^Yeah I just watched the OVA. It's based on the bonus chapter: His Battlefield once more.

Pretty good, I liked it a lot. Enjoyed this one over the others, it's 16 minutes long.

For those who are curious, it's about Maes Hughes + Mustang in their 18's, when they first enrolled into the academy.

It's quite depressing...

^Does anyone know if there will be more OVAs like this one to come? I was originally under the impression there would only be 3, so I was quite surprised by this one.

After this one though, I'm really looking forward to some more if they have any :'(

There will be one, what the content is is still a mystery, though. It was announced a while back when the series ended.

I would have never imagined they used to be such fierce rivals. It was tough to see them befriend that Ishvalian knowing what would eventually happen to him... I didn't think Hughes would be the one who'd kill him though. Depressing is the word. __________________

Spoiler: I loved the extra bits they added to the original manga gaiden with teenaged Roy and Hughes at military school. The OVA really adds to Roy and Hughes' characters, and further emphasizes the pain inflicted by the war.... Lovely little gaiden. Damn, I'm depressed now __________________
