Happy moe day.

Also, I just checked the ISML 2010 Charter, and I see some green and blue lines along with some striked out ones. Were these there before?

The blue and green are amendments made early in 2010 (as noted on the bottom of that page)
So from the look of things, depending on today's match in Saimoe, we'll have a picture of the auto entries in ISML 2011: Spoiler for Rules::
So: (Red indicates a repeated character already qualified from higher ranked contest) Top 4 from ISML 2010 Regular Season: Shana Katsura Hinagiku Akiyama Mio Misaka Mikoto Semi-Finalists in Saimoe 2010: Nagi Sanzenin Koromo Amae Nodoka Haramura Azusa Nakano Semi-Finalists in Korean Best Moe 2010: Kanade Tachibana Yui Hirasawa Mio Akiyama Hitagi Senjōgahara ISML 2010 Double Elimination Tournament Top 16: Akiyama Mio Misaka Mikoto Shana Nakano Azusa Hinagiku Katsura Aisaka Taiga Nagato Yuki Suzumiya Haruhi Hirasawa Yui Sanzen'in Nagi Sakagami Tomoyo Saber (number 16 on total list at this point) ----------------- Fujibayashi Kyō Hiiragi Kagami Senjōgahara Hitagi Sengoku Nadeko

So if that stays true, most big names don't go through the hassle of prelims. Nice to see Tenshi and Koromo get in (Koromo was close this year, even if she is in Saki). Of course the big disappointed would be the retaining of Nodoka. While I don't mind, she'll just get brushed aside. Then again the bottom 10 tend to be weak anyway.

Uh you're list is off as under B. it says "3. Contestants who have won or tied for first place in the Quarterfinals of Korea Best Moe ("KBM") 2009'
And you only listed the 4 from the semi-finals, which means Yuri Nakamura, Kyou Fujibayashi, Shirai Kuroko, and Misaka Mikoto have entry from this Best moe too or I am misunderstanding the wording of it?

According to KholdStare88, there actually won't be any auto-qualify to regular season next year. Everyone has to go through preliminaries. You can auto-qualift for preliminaries but I'm not sure what the requirements are right now.

I cross checked based on who got auto-in for ISML 2010 to the top 8 of Best Moe 2009. Holo and Ui were in the Top 8 and did not auto-qualify.
I thought it was all the Quarterfinalist at first as well (and had them listed for a while), but then I remembered why it has that wordage, in case there was a tie like in 2008 with Yami qualifying while being the 9th girl (that was dropped from the Quarterfinals due to a tie from another match). Thus if there was a tie in the Quarterfinals, there would have been 5 Semi-finalist, but the lowest vote total would have been dropped per Best Moe rules to make only 4. So it is the winners of the Quarterfinals in Best Moe (which is the Semi-finalist) because of a Best Moe rule that would drop a winner if there was a tie because only 4 girls get to be Semi-Finalist. However it might be a moot point if there is no auto entries to the tournement and thus all these are are auto nominations instead. (thus there is a rule change of some sort)

Well, I think after the fiasco of the Saki characters utterly flopping in ISML despite their success in J-Saimoe, there was an indication some characters were auto-qualifying that shouldn't. We'll find out in due time.

Yeah auto qualification beyond ISML final 16 seems to be pointless. Bamboo Blade, and Saki characters aren't well liked by ISML voters. Just auto qualify K-On, KugiRie tsunderes, and Haurhi characters and make everyone else go through prelim

We're not sure either. There is no longer a clear "Top 16" in Saimoe plus KSBM will involve troublesome additions. We'll wait to see all the results before making changes final. But we do know that auto-qualifications will only be to the preliminary round.
