I can understand fixing minor mistakes in the animation, but why does Shaft change things in virtually every scene? I mean, wouldn't it be a lot more cost-effective to spend extra resources on getting it right the first time?

Fix it for the sake of fixing it. When asked what he want to do with Pani Poni Dash again when the BOXSET+OVA was released, his answer was "to fix the episode again." I guess it's something similar to Pete Doctor's quote: films don't get finished, they just get released

I guess Shinbou's motto is: "If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing."

I vaguely recall seeing a news line about SoreDemo being licensed, but apparently the news that the show had been released, with english subs and a shockingly reasonable price, never reached me. I guess the rock I live under is too thick.

DVD with all 12 episodes, subbed even.

SENTAI FILMWORKS, you're doing it right, now go do the same for Denpa Onna, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Ben-to and a host of other shows that I found amusing.
