It's just one of fan nicknames before the official release. Personally, I call it "Puella Magi theme" since it played every time more information on the system was revealed. Taking guesses by the official tracklist of OST 1, it may be the first track, "Sis Puella Magica!"

Everyone remember how Magia was slowed down and distorted in episode 1? Here's a full version of it.
To me, this sounded a lot better than when they corrected it for the BD release. The distortion made it sound a lot creeper imo.

The BD version uses the regular version of Magia, no slow down or distortions. It's just like when we revisited the dream sequence in episode 10. I love both versions of Magia, no doubt, but I felt the slow version felt more appropriate in the dream sequence in episode 1. Gave hints that Madoka isn't all happy and cute like everyone at first thought

I didn't feel that the normal version went well as a fight BGM. The slow version was far more menacing (and sounded vaguely Egyptian, which wasn't helped by the fact that the episode 1 WN looked kind of like a genie's lamp ) and really set the dark mood for the scene. That isn't to say that the normal version isn't dark (it works wonderfully in the ED), but the slower version just fit as a fight BGM there.

About Vol3 CD... Will it have no character song this time, or do they just have yet to announce the rest of the content? |

The first part of the OST was posted on nicovideo =O now excuse me while I bathe in awesomeness. My body definitely wasn't ready.

Haaah... tearing up a bit on listening to the songs. Especially "Terror adhaerens", which I immediately recognized as the piece playing when Kyoko and Madoka were walking towards the showdown with Sayaka. I can see them walking with my inner eye...
Kajiura always knew how to write upbeat, exhilarating battlechants. Madoka showed her mastery now also extends to laments - slow, tragic pieces full of emotion. I'd pay a nice sum of money to have a FLAC version of the Walpurgisnacht battle lament right now, but I guess I'll have to wait some more ^_^; Wonderful stuff. |

Anyway, first part of the OST was pretty standart. Guess I'll have to wait for Kasahara's song for quite a while. |

Just listened to the whole OST about 3 times now. Every song is glorious, I cried tears of joy when I first heard the main theme playing....beautiful. I feel like I can go to magical girl heaven now
Can't wait for OST Vol. 2...I really want to hear Oktavia's theme!

Pretty much all the stand out themes we heard from the first half of the series are here, which is expected. Classic Kajiura as we've all said before, meaning i can listen to it stand alone for a long time to come.
Still say it's very similar to her Tsubasa Chronicle score . More so stand alone.

In my opinion the first part of the ost is a little underwhelming (except sis puella magica and Puella in somnio). Most of the killer tracks seem to be part of the second volume (like the violine version of Conturbatio, the orchestral version of sis puella magica and some other). I hope all the different versions of the songs will be realeased eventually.

The low quality one miss the thirteenth song. I have a Flac version thanks to Madoka fan in other forum. xxxx. Each song doesn't have a name though. But you can edit it yourself.
01 Sis puella magica! 02 Salve, terrae magicae 03 Gradus prohibitus 04 Credens justitiam 05 Clementia 06 Desiderium 07 Conturbatio 08 Postmeridie 09 Puella in somnio 10 Umbra nigra 11 Terror adhaerens 12 Scaena felix 13 Pugna cum maga Translation 01 Become a Magical Girl! 02 Greetings, Worlds of Magic 03 Hindered Steps 04 Believing in Justice 05 Compassion 06 Longing 07 Disorder 08 Afternoon 09 The Girl in Sleep 10 Black Shadow 11 Clinging Terror 12 A Blessed Scene 13 A Duel with a Witch Still need to wait for WPN fight song. That's definitely the most epic song in the series. PS: If it violates the rule then please delete this post.
