I'd recommend the TV series first and then Do You Remember Love?. Macross Zero is set before the original TV series, though for a better enjoyment it's best watched later on. Go for the full Macross experience first.

I've gone up to episode 23 in a viewing marathon, saving 24 and 25 for last.
