I haven't watched the ep yet, but is it explained there how they compressed the memory data? Because it should've been explained already at this point. And has Daru explained the internet connection of the building Okabe's base is in?

I can more or less get Suzuha's doubts about Kurisu if I assume she is from the future. If she never got involved with this lab then eventually she would have gone back to the US with her problems. With her talent she probably would be scouted into SERN and put to work on the time machine. Like she said here she'll follow a possibility and work even if she has doubts about whether or not she should do it. SERN could take advantage of that and she could be key to them achieving power. She may not like what she's doing and regret it, but probably wouldn't be able to stop herself. Growing up with the public perception of Kurisu being a big member of SERN and how they gained power it wouldn't be a surprise to see all the hostility and suspicion from Suzuha.
Anyways did like Okabe ambushing Kurisu when she was surfing and then the serious chat later. He really is better at being comedic about things. Still he's a good guy and will try to help Kurisu though his famed people skills leave me doubting his odds. At the very least would be good to have him rip into the guy about being jealous and angry at his own daughter just because she's talented and surpassed him.

Something is strange here. If Suzuha is from the future, and she traveled back to the current present, does her memory change from each time jump? My concern is that she remembers Kurisu as a SERN, but in the very original episode, Kurisu died. If Kurisu died, then Suzuha should not have known about Kurisu from the future.
It makes me wonder if all the experiments that Okabe is doing and the time jumps will actually lead to the one inevitable future that Suzuha is from? Meaning, if they did nothing, that bad future will not happen, but because they are experimenting like this, that bad future will in effect occur because of these actions? Also, how did Okabe convince Suzuha to stay? Was Okabe the true person that Suzuha was waiting for at that location on that night? She said she would leave unless that particular person came.

I do wonder about Yuzuha's words about Kurisu's affiliation. And will throw a random guess that Kurisu is not a Sern agent NOW, but rather in the future, near or distant.

Is it me, or does the decapitated doll head look kind of like Makise Kurisu... same eye and hair color, only a little pudgier. So why does Okarin worry about Mayuri of all people?
Originally I thought Suzuha was Kurisu's father, which would explain the hatred she has for Kurisu. Maybe Suzuha knew Kurisu's father in the past and thought of him as a friend (or enemy). Kurisu's father is a physicist, and SERN is a physics laboratory... huh. Suzuha accuses Kurisu of being a SERN agent. Is this because her father works at SERN or something? And then John/Barrel Titor being Suzuha's supposed father, or Suzuha being Titor himself. Too many things to keep track of. I saw the shower scene coming; Mayuri's after comment was the best. "Okarin, Mayushii is very sad and very embarrassed." Well, don't overreact now. Last edited by Deconstructor; 2011-06-15 at 15:47. Reason: Shining Finger. |

Now that we've seen Suzuha's toned body, I want to see her kick SERN ass with a Suzaku kick or something. |

The scientific fields are ones of great professional pride, especially at the higher echelons, where both Kurisu and her father were at (she's still there, he less so). Being shown up, and even somewhat discredited, in that field by your own teenage daughter (it's not like she's a trained adult) has to be a serious blow to one's sense of self-esteem and professional pride. I mean, here is something that you've dedicated your life to, and have gained prestige in, and a person half of your age (or less) and of your own linage is surpassing you and ripping apart the scientific papers that you took so much pride in. It's a very difficult situation, and I think it calls for understanding and respect. Now, that's not to say that Kurisu's father is right for turning against his daughter - of course he's not - but his reasons are very understandable, and call for sympathy, first and foremost. In all honesty, using his charisma to overcome the father/daughter barriers might very well be a wise move on Okarin's part. A few jokes and amusing mad scientist bravado could be a good way to break the ice, and ease tensions there, paving the way to a family reconciliation.
