Something like Full Moon Wo Sagashite?

At first I was hesitant about Full Moon hearing it was about a j-pop idol with a bunny girl and cat boy following her around, but thats why you aren't supposed to judge a book by it's cover.

Anyway, I would appreciate any reccomendation for another series similar to Full Moon. Not really another singing one, but you know what i mean.

Anyway, here's the entire freaking list of series that ive seen (iv'e been keeping track of just how much iv'e actually seen, it's either really amazing or really sad depending on your point of view, heh)

Bleach. I guess if you like Naruto and HunterxHunter, you might want to give this one a try as well.

Mai HIME/My Hime. Mecha, magic, and apparently to guys fanservice all rolled into one. With some bad assed sword name Miroku.

Try Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne? The same mangaka of Full Moon...KKJ in anime is a little more...fleshed out to the extreme (whether or not its a good thing, I'll leave it up to you, for me it wasn't bad...sort of)

Last Exile
Midori no Hibi (since its licensed, have fun looking for it)

That's all I can think of it.

All licensed, but IMHO, worth the money:

Someday's Dreamer
Stellvia (I haven't seen the R1 version yet, and it's a bit early to see if they'll do the tears thing... )
Kino no Tabi
Kaleido Star

Yeah I forgot to mention Bleach and Beck I am also watching.

I tend to stay away from fanservice series just because I end up watching a lot of anime with my mother. At one point I was really distant from her, and this is one thing we seem to share an interest in and can share. And god is she just bawling throughout the entire series of Full Moon. lol.

Yeah I'm not against buying anime. God knows I've spent at least $1,000 on anime dvd's so far. Thank god for fansubs though, it's saved me at least 3 times what iv'e already paid on anime. But really, whenever i have a kid, at least i will still have them and can let them watch.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, definetly give them a look.

Something similar to Full Moon wo Sagashite:

Magical Stage Fancy Lala - About a girl (also) given the power to transform into a teen idol. While Full Moon focuses on singing, Fancy Lala has many other jobs including CM's, shows and stuff like that. It's quite old (1998) but nevertheless cute!

There's supposed to be another anime with that magical-girl-idol theme but I forgot the name...

I could have many shoujo anime to recommend but I'm tired and going to sleep, but if you want it pls reply to this thread.

No worries. I'm not saying one way or another about people buying/not buying their anime. Don't need the aggrevation or the high blood pressure.

You can also take a look at "Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pichi Pure", which is not licensed. It's a bit on the sweet side and is geared toward the kiddy crowd. It isn't bad, though, IMHO, and I always have to not giggle when watching the action scenes between the girls and the villian of the day. It's not like they sing badly yet the villian always scream and cover his ears...
