But I dislike Twilight...
Gameplay Demo's. Slow as it can be, sluiggish, similar to GOW/Dante's Inferno. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3KbylkNPS4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aqv7sEfuJdk Seems it will have a decent gameplay, but not Devil May Cry level of speed and gameplay.

Though most moves in the demo looked the same. This is probably because it's a demo, but I wish they'd displayed a bit more variety, the scythe attacks look generic and I'm still not fond of how Dante moves during the battle segments. It doesn't look like he chains attacks and each move flows into the next, though that's also possibly because of the demo. If neither is because of the demo, well... Yet another point less for DmC. Also, lack of Stinger makes me sad. |

There is a knock off Nero Streak move in the previous gameplay trailer.
Why did they make him more like Nero and less Dante....This could have worked if it was a Nero storyline. Though Dante being an Angel/Devil hybrid is really a change in the story which doesn't connect it anymore to the previous DMC titles it's an alternate universe.

But could it be only his youth ? With the loosing of his angel side at the end driving us to the storyline we all know ? (I know it's pretty much unlikely...) |

The list;
>no style meter >You stopped reading there >locked at 30fps, huge step backward >guns have a cooldown time, they are (supposedly) named Vice and Virtue >no styles, two 'stances', Angel Stance and Demon Stance >Donte has a morphing sword that changes depending on the stance >Scythe for faster hits, Axe for heavier hits >Donte has a grapple that can pull enemies toward you (Demon Stance, I believe) >It's the opposite for Angel stance >Donte has no dashes etc. There is an air dash, but it is not Skystar (and some sparkles fly out behind him when he's using it, so, Angel Stance?) >"cinematic" finishers >incredibly slow and repetitive combat: slash slash slash, pull enemy toward you, slash slash slash, repeat until finisher >no evidence of Stinger, Million Stab. High Time and helmbreaker are present. >no evidence of any dodging or blocking moves or skills show in TGS gameplay >woman escortee/partner shown in TGS gameplay, with hoodie and short-ass pants. Face not seen. >only a few enemies on screen at once (I think the most was four?) >initiating Devil Trigger causes a bullet time + an explosion that throws ALL enemies up into the air, no matter where they are on the screen. >ORANGE AND BLUE EVERYWHERE. You can't not notice it. >the morphing city looks cool, however. >though it appears to be grimdark (Blood writing on the walls! So edgy) with lots of colour (like Lords of Shadow) >Donte is half demon, half angel (if you couldn't get it from the stances), therefore solidifying this game as a prebootquel |

Repetitive gameplay (slash, slash, slash, grab, jump, slash, slash, slash)
Problematic camera constantly shaking and leaving enemies out of screen Slower fighting system in comparation to previous DMC Good graphics tough the scenarios remind me a lot to Bayonetta. The stances system look quite useless, enemies don't seme really afected for which stance you're in. Devil Trigger looks like a pretty useless slow time period (lol, Byaonetta, anyone?) Constant cinematics during gameplay ("coughBayonettacough") Stupid looking Edward Collins... I mean, Dante Yeah... things keep looking better and better uh?

Ninja Theory doesn't seem to agree so much anymore. Also, to add to the "Bayonetta Ripoff" theories, enemy designs shown in the second trailer (that fat thingy in the church) bear some resemblance to Bayonetta's Angels.
Oh, and Bayonetta went into a world between the human world and the demon world to fight (Purgatorio). Inb4 Limbo = Purgatorio ripoff? |
