Ah, I'm just playing around; I'm too tired to entertain a lengthy debate. I do think School Days is an excellently-written story, though.

Out of curiosity, did you like any of the characters in School Days? Or was their irrationality enough to make you not care for any of them at all?

I thought so.

Tough Question. My friend asked me that too - he's also a big fan of SD.
Answer's no. There wasn't a single character that made sense to me.

Humanity doesn't make sense. What a concept for an anime...

That aside however, I still think that the anime was good. Heartbreakingly so, though... And I'm not gonna say that it's the best storyline for an anime. Sorry, Dr. Casey.

However unrealistic it may seem, I still know that under certain stressful scenarios and whatnot, rational human beings can go to irrational deep ends. This anime... certainly took a dark twist on psyche.

Still though, School Days was a VN, one that was infamously known for its bad ends, and those overshadowed everything about it that the anime had to include one. Disappointing, though not really surprising that they couldn't emphasize the other aspects of School Days. Hell, the Manga was actually nicely-written compared to the... ahem, troll-fest (I admit it, I'm sorry) that was the anime...

My fundamental problem is with Makoto. He's just a totally boring, uninteresting guy. He literally exists from sexual hookup to sexual hookup. He has no interests. He is not interested in just hanging out with Sekai and talking to her, or going to the park or something. Just sex, sex and more sex.

Still you want the fucked up anime in history? It's not this. Either Genocyber or "End of Evangelion" for sheer fucked-up-ness.

Thumbs down 4/10 for me it sucked big time

plot-wise it is low due to bland characters. The flow of story is so boring it's almost like hentai only without showing the orgasmic parts. The ending may have been interesting and it did made me smile (which where the grade "4" mostly came from), but it did not save the anime overall.
