I used to like Ah! My goddess, the original OAV (5eps) was nice, the adventures of mini goddess were funny and cute, the movie was gorgeous....STOP...
Then they reinvented Belldandy's face into an horrifying piece of crap with a deformed mouth... I don't care about ah! My Goddess anymore... (Only idiots would change an already perfect character design...) |

Since the series has been going on for over two decades there's a lot of art evolution in both manga and anime so the characters' appearances have always been changing gradually. Compare how Belldandy looks in the 90s OVA to how she looks in the first few chapters of the manga; she looks so different it's hard to believe it's the same character! As for the episode itself, it was fairly enjoyable. I don't know if it's just me, but it feels kind of awkward hearing Hild's mature voice coming out of her little kid form. Okay, finally managed to finish.
The story was rather weak, and I must have missed something because the twist at the end didn't fully make sense to me, but oh well. However... the look on Keichi's face at the start of the Ferris Wheel ride when Belldandy leans against him, priceless.

I managed to finish start, stop, and finish it.
This is a good episode to sort of "restart" the animated series after all the dire events of angel-eater/ ending of 2nd season animation. While not over-the-top exciting, it was enjoyable from the sentimental side of Bell & Kenchi's relationship. Now ...how will I get through watching High School of the Dead after watching this....Like listening to some soft Bach classic music then listening to White Zombie thrash metal! (Pun intended!) VC |

I really enjoyed this, I think it's a shame this will only be part of an OVA release and not a season series. It looked beautiful, it sounded beautiful and it was full of all the amazing quirks I came to love the Oh! My Goddess for.
I'm excited to see where they will go with this and have high expectations :> |

LOL... the "doll show", is soo cute....
Also... still waiting for that SEASON 3.... which was suppose to have came out last year... but I think they canceled it and made an OVA for now... The manga is still on-going, and it have enough materials to make 2 more seasons now... |

Neverending and OVA

Well, the first OVA came out before the TV series and skims over a few of the stories in the TV series. There are several DVDs after The Movie, so you're probably referring to one of those. Next OAD in September. |

I remember watching this while I was younger.
Many MANY years later, I glanced through some plot summaries and it seem like the two of them still have not progressed much in their relationship. It would be nice to see them get married before I die of old age=/ |
