Fixed, slow as hell though....

@Stratos Via PIC manipulation, in short, anti-gravity. Still they need thruster to maneuver and move. Without thruster or alternative propulsion their movement would be similar to that of helicopter.

@ Stratos - There was a scene in the novel where Houki and Cecilia ran around the school in their units without thrusters as punishment.

... The grimdark idea might be TOO grimdark for HoTM's tone. I doubt you'll use it for Shadow, anyway.

It's only an idea, after all.

@ Rain - With the way things are going, I'll probably have to lessen Kyuukai's roles in the story now. Most likely you'll complete HOTM way before I do Shadow, so I'll have to lessen Kyuukai's screentime and give it to other characters in order to balance things out.

@ Eratas: It's understandable, I guess. The last idea was more along the lines of an idea for HoTM, rather than Shadow.

Actually, it wasn't really meant for Shadow at all. But it's still an idea I have for an end for Koneko.

But I'm trying to lean towards a happier ending myself, but it may or may not change concerning the remainder of the plot.

@ Rain - The problem is the fact that all of our ideas for Kyuukai are almost the same. Canan, Koneko, and other things will be featured in both so readers might get confused/annoyed. Why don't you give me plans that you have for Kyuukai that you won't use or you dropped? I'll see if I can modify it for use in Shadow.

@ Senpai - Will the eldritch abomination be featured in Sacred Twins or just in the Grim Dark spinoff? It might be jumping the shark a bit if you go from villainous evil org to alien on the moon.

Yep, and probably not much faster than a human can, and still need a LOT of effort.... considering it was a SCARY PUNISHMENT to run using them for 20 laps around the field (~50 km).

well if the IS legs have some additional mechanical actuators to help the human legs lift them, maybe skid-stopping may be applicable.

well as long as the mimic the human leg's mobility in some way, and if the operator's leg can move then, even w/ antigravity and pointed tips for feet, they can just airwalk.

The screen then shows a series of pictures of the damaged IS being hooked up to a CPU unit, which is connected to what would seem to be the prototype Minerva in a construction cage. ‘In a bit to scavenge the AI prog—wait… AI?’ He then reads through the report, tabbing between pages which hold records of the Minerva’s performances. His stares in disbelief as the records show no sign of sudden surge of core activity. ‘That doesn’t make any sense… If there’s indeed an AI unit transferred into the Iwaki unit, surely it would go haywire trying to adapt to a new non-IS core shell.
