Still fun though. We get to know that Miu's mother is foreigner, Takanashi family is into cosplay, and Sora's drooling over Yuuta's sleeping face (that got major upgrade XD)
But after read the Chronicle spin-off, I have to say it again it's creeping me out to see Nimura on the cover, make it looks like that Miu has a crush on him

But seriously, how many goddamned spin-offs does this one little plot need? Densha Otoko was spontaneous, a refreshing novelty. This is just...a sign of the creative bankruptcy of the otaku industry or something.

Miu's the last spin-off I think (based on what Japanzai release). So 5 spin-offs in total, 1 for each Takanashi members and another one for the dorm story. I do think it's too much but what the hell, I like the series and so far with each of their different flavor I still enjoy all of them ^^

Well, from what I remember, I think it was because of a Russian (yeah, she's Russian) military reform and Miu's mom had to go back for something, to take care of her own mother or something like that. Miu's mother was pregnant with another guy (a mannequin or someone like that) who left her when he heard she was pregnant. And Miu's mother married Sora's dad, one reason being that they could take care of Sora and Miu together. Though when Miu's mother had to go back, she asked for divorce with Sora's dad so that he could become free or something like that. Sorry for my bad memories, but I kinda read the novels near midnight for 3 straight days, so I don't remember a lot of things...

Ah, and she's not really "hated", but girls are just jealous that she'd steal their love...even if they are 10-11 years old.

Depends on how it is done. There are elements of Volume 7 that could be integrated in the first arc, so I don't know if it will get there. And looking at other LN adaptations like Hidan no Aria or IS, thy all stopped at Volume 3. So I don't think so; unless they rush it a bit.

Yeah, volume 4 is pretty much about Miu's mother trying to get along with Miu. Started with Yuuta family skating, and noticed a beautiful foreigner skating well. I think at apoint she mentionned that she was ready to take the 3 girls, but finally let Yuuta do that.
