Damn jewelery is overpriced. I just bought one for my enchantress and called it a day.

As one of the things in the game that can't be crafted and has unnaturally low drop rates, that's normal. At least they are profitable to sell.

I have now returned to Act 1 to do Butcher runs. It is impossible for me to progress in Act 2 with the snakes one shoting me. Need money!

soo..... apparently the auction cancel trick allows people to dupe gold and right now the econ is going into hyper chaos mode...
A rollback might happen.

If the rumoured method of duping gold is true, Blizzard screwed up big time there. There is no way to fix the economy now besides a big rollback or even a wipe.

rollback will affect too many innocents: blizzard will most likely not do it. Even if they do, the rollback wouldnt be anything more than a day.

Some exploiters might have been doing it for weeks. They already have plan B and C ready: they sold gold for real money and sold gold over d2jsp. They might have given their friends a full set of godly gears. All they have to do is buy a new account, level it up to 60, and enjoy a life of wealth. Oh, @$10/mil, $1k is only 100mil...

Oh well. If they wipe everything I might restart on a Witch Doctor. Guess I will stop playing for now and see what happens.

... What? How is that even possible?

And the dreaded rollbacks. Those swimming in gold likely won't notice it, but for folk like me, it'll likely HURT.

Blizzard: Make a contract with me and use the Real Money Auction House! You'll be able to get any item you want, and with protection!

Typical reddit.

FD, you do realize these are the same guys who claimed people could "hack" other players just from their battle tags, right? LOL.

According to diablo.incgamers (not part of the fansite program) this dupe method might have been a giant hoax. Alot of hearsay going on it seems as no one now has proof, no videos, only shopped screenshots. Blizz denying hotfixing anything.

Again, as with the supposed wave of account hacks: It's hard to find the truth in between here. Don't believe everything blizz is trying to tell you but by all means don't believe every bit of internet community hype either. Both are unreliable sources.

duping means duplicating and was a word tossed around many times in D2. it meant an item code was duplicated to have an exact copy of the original item.

example is tal rashas chest with x3 sockets, 55 resist all, 15% IAS, and +229 armor.

hacker then copies item code

TA-DA! hacker now has another item exactly like the original!

tbh i may just quit D3 for when GW2 comes out. it's been almost a month since it came out and gives me a bad taste in my mouth so far. it's really a step backwards from D1 and D2.

Same here. I'm playing on the Asia server, and everyone else is on the Americas

A quick question for the thread: What are acceptable DPS and health values on Inferno? My Wizard rather feels underpowered in Act 1 despite having +36,000 health and 11,000 DPS.

My Barb has around 18k dps unbuffed, and 30k HP, and I still struggle against a certain type of champion pack.
I guess Wizard can have it easier with its armor, but 11k dps is kinda low to go through Act 1.
