It's pretty confusing, so I'll break it down more.

Spoiler:

There are two base Takeru. Let's start from there.

EX original Takeru -> there are multiple EX parallel Takeru, who all have had different experineces with differnt girls. He ends up teleporting to the UL world.

UL original Takeru -> mutilated and killed when still a child, traumatizing this world's Sumika (brain)


Ok, then comes UL portion of the game.


Takeru from EX world ends up in UL world. -> Experience the UL world until the failure of Alternative Four, and small selected humans including the chosen heroine leave earth with Alternative Five.
Takeru and others are stranded on Earth, doomed to fight BETA to the end. This is where the TDA takes place.
Takeru supposedly dies at the end, fighting for humanity's survival to the last minute.

This UL world is also a multiverse, with many parallel outcomes (differnt girl chosen as love interest), but they all fail Alt-4 and same outcome.


Sumika's conciousness goes "I've had enough of this shit, I'm building Super-Takeru chan so he can finally find my goddamn brain."


BAM, Super-Takeru-chan who shares memories from all the previous multiverse, both UL and EX, is created and brought back to the starting point of UL. = universe of Alternative (ALT)

They finally beat the living tard out of BETA. (Woot!)

The Super-Takeru-chan returns to EX world, but Sumika(s) change up the EX world as a perfect combination of all the EX world (as well as mix some elements from UL/AL) = FEX universe is born.

And they lived happily ever after.

He repeated every possibility of UL world to the end, you know, humanity's defeat and extinction on Earth (with only surviving humans gone in Alt-5).

So what you see here is most likely, Takeru in one of the UL world.
Whether it's one of the repeated or not is actually not important, as until AL-verse was formed, he didn't have shared memory of these multiple UL worlds.

So putting it in kind of a crude time line (if you could call it that)

EX x ∞ -> UL x ∞ -> AL (Takeru having bits and pieces of memory from all the previous multiverse experiences) -> FEX

The Takeru you see is probably in the second part of the above.

AL world doesn't really happen until our "I hit the goddamn reset and start over with current level retained button" super-Takeru-chan comes to the scene.
Pretty much everything up to that point is yet another version of UL.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't read TDA.
I'm assuming the timeline of the above scene is UL timeline, after Alternative Five took off, and Takeru is left on Earth with the rest of humanity.

If it's taking place BEFORE UL & Alternative's starting point, I assume it's actually the original UL Takeru who somehow lived.
(which I doubt, from how Sumika remembers his fate. It'd be an ugly retcon)

Either way it is, it's not the AL-Takeru we know, kaizer.

ok thanks, for the info , still quite new to muv luv, in the infinite number of loops , i just wish that Takeru was able to bring some kind piece of tech that can be useful i meant he did came to the Unlimited verse with his portable game console the belong to his original universe

Side story? Really? If that is true, then I most likely missed that one.

Haha. Is it because of her unique way of opening the door when Hibiki doesn't answer in time or is it due to her not having second thoughts in pulling a trigger even if the other person is a cute child, who is trying to sneak behind her beloved 1st Lt? Loved the latter part to be honest since it was a hilarious scene concerning Yuzuka's overprotective nature when it comes to Hibiki. lol

One of the things I loved about RUGP, it really gives the characters more life in such situation. In Shizuku's case, she was trembling so much in the last panel. XD

Well I finally finished the MuvLuv: Alternative Visual Novel [FILLS ME WITH RAEG AND WANT TO GO SHOOT UP SOME BETA] after starting on Saturday, read the Unlimited and Extra manga's.

Anyways I was wondering...

I could infer that the epilogue of MuvLuv Alternative is a rehash of Extra, but it's not translated in the English patch...does anyone have a summary of what was discussed? Or a translation?

only read the unlimited manga , the incomplete alternative and skimmed through the wikis , i can make some educate guess why most of the enshi cadets are female

my guess logical reason why there a larger proportion of women/girls, that are in the military, is because the portion of male populace has dwindled significantly, usually in wars male soldiers/officers are send to the front lines , i think in the wiki it state in the ultimate/alternative that about less than 1 billion humans

i have only read the muv luv alternative manga ( it not complete) form scanlation sites still yet to play the visual novel of Muv luv . which still i am still hesitant there might be too much gore ( watched the anime of total eclipse ep2 , felt sick to my stomach/ and rage )

Ah in that case. Don't. You will want to complete mla first before anything. If u watched ep2 of te, its about what to expect in terms of gore level, but not all the time. There are 4 main battles, so you can pace yourself, and the first half is gore free. Do go ahead and play it, u are more or less ready. Be prepared for more emotional roller coaster rides though.

just finish it ...... felt so much mental fatigue ...... after this ...... i want find something much more light hearted .... the images left that are for me left very bitter and painful .... i know mecha battle there will always some pilot/characters will eventulay killed/die in line of battle . Guess want irks me the most are the deaths those girls ( as a guy, felt the situation is messed up ) .... ... felt this was some bad end scenario

i hope the total eclipse to don't have to much gore , i like mech battles and such ..... but gore and other dark side anime , i tend to away for it
