Wouldn't it be 4 if we count DEX?

STR, DEX, LUK, AGI. Yeah. I honestly don't see why something like VIT wouldn't exist..

Nope, DEX is maneuverability, The chances of you hitting a dodging enemy and hit rate.

AGI is the speed of your attacks, and flee rate I believe.

This is based on my old pRO days and inferences from the novel BTW.

i think most jrpgs these days replace dex with evasion rate which is base on Agi.

Honestly? Most JRPGs nowadays don't even both with stats.. well they do.. but you usually can't choose to increase them. But yeah, evasion rate is based on AGI most of the time.

From what I remember, DEX is usually the main stat required for dual-wielding.

ok i remember now, that Dex and Dual wielding are for AD&D. The Japanese RPG uses a modify ver which don't included Dex.

Remember, this was initially written in 2002, so the mechanics haven't evolved yet to that point. Heh. XD

Maybe in ALO though.

i am pretty sure JRPGs around then didn't have separate Dex and Agi stats.

We're talking about MMORPG's right? Because one of the largest ones back then, Ragnarok Online, HAD separate AGI and DEX stats.

In SAO, they use DEX to run fast, so there probably isn't a separate AGI stat.

Though ISTR it's called AGI in GGO.

Same with FFXI, which was around back then (STR, DEX, VIT, AGI, INT, MND, CHR).

Although Netto's quote is much more applicable as the author had more of a relationship with RO according to some of the author's notes.

i am pretty sure STR and AGI is a separate stat in GGO. That was whole point why the brother of the XaXa wanted to kill the #1 player.

Yeah, I remember reading that, but also Materia Edition 7 had this quote also:

Quote:
Argo's focus was on speed (AGI), so for her to be unable to shake off the chasing two guys, they must not be ordinary players. Although I didn't see them among the boss raid, their levels should be top-class. In addition, the footprints that went straight along the road toward the west, had exit to the outside through the city gate which was dug out of the outer rim of the crater. These western plains of Urbus was a dangerous map with large buffalo type monsters roaming about. The situation was getting worse. I bit my lips and rushed into the virtual savanna without stopping my feet.

-snip-

I snapped my right fingers in satisfaction as they had helped supplementing my memory. These two were the members of the ridiculously fastest ninja guild which was feared during the β test period. I should make a note about what was feared first. Every member were just like Argo and focused their parameter on agility, they would open the battle as the front row and used their AGI wall to confuse the enemy. When it became dangerous, they would use their dashing power to flee, forcing the monster to target nearby parties instead. No matter how I thought about them, they were clearly a group of evil shinobi.

On another topic... Anyone else thinks the Fluctlight technology's too much? A complete game breaker, really.

I mean, for most white collar jobs... You can spend one real hour inside and do hundreds of hours' worth. As well as have hundreds of hours of R&R in some tropical paradise.

Fluctlight seems to be too radical a technology to be accepted for decades, if Kirito's assessment is correct. It would take years of VR familiarity before fluclight appears on anything more than a limited scale.

Thought I'm trying to imagine Parlimentary and cabinet meetings Exploiting fluclight tech.

Any R&D department using Fluctlight acceleration would gain a huge advantage, which they'll leverage into leaving all others in the dust, who will then be forced to use Fluctlight to keep up.

Fluctlight Tech seems to be funded by various countries Military's, so even though Kirito might think it's too much for an official public release, it would more than likely be used by the powers that be.

Although I agree, it would make decision making heck of a lot faster if implemented in Legislatures, Although the problem of something like Inception happening brings me concern. (Oh wow, just noticed nobody has brought that up LOL)

It would just make the fillibusters that much more interminable.

I wouldn't mind if they all stayed there, either.

True enough. Although it would probably shield some decision making from lobbying more.

But it still concerns me on how Fluctlight is like messing with the soul itself and all that jazz...it just seems unnatural.
