The sales for the 1st BD/DVD are out.
The 1st volume sold 27,326 BD + 6,844 DVD = 34,170 copies in the first week. Probably will sell few thousands more in the second week. I expected that it would sell a lot since it is one of the most popular anime of the year. |

But otherwise, great sales numbers. Really hypes me up for a GGO cour and Mother's Rosario Movie. Hell maybe even a Progressive adaptation in the future.

Not even close. They won't be nearly as well priced as stuff from Funimation or Sentai, but it's only when Aniplex plays the "middle man" rather than "licensor" that we pay Japanese prices (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai). Since this is releasing as singles in Japan, it won't be released the same way in America. As such, we can expect prices more similar to OreImo, Madoka, or Bakemonogatari. Still high, but not $35 or so per episode high.

Hey, I don't know for sure if this is the right thread for this, but I'm thinking of making Kirito's ALO Black Great Swords for sale, so you think anyone would buy them assuming they are high quality? I've never done something like this so I'm not sure, but here is an example of my work, although these are much rougher and lower quality than the Black Great Sword will be:

I've always found the "SAO survivor" term from the series to be quite amusing.
The back of that shirt should say what they did to survive... - hid in town cowering in fear for 2 years - fought for 2 years ver. front lines, or ver. casual player - pked other players for 2 years - leeched off of friends for 2 years - Scammed other players out of food, money, or items. etc...
