Snow Piercer (sometime in 2013)

From the french graphic novel "Le Transperceneige" comes acclaimed director Bong Joon-ho's first (mostly) English feature. Shot entirely in Prague, the film stars a large international cast (including Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Song Kang-ho, Vlad Ivanov, John Hurt, Octavia Spencer and a few other very good actors.

Brief description:

The film is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
I have no idea what the original source material is like, nor do I really care. This is a new Bong Joon-ho film, and that is enough to get me in the theatre, but when you add the large group of good actors, and a script from Joon-ho and Kelly Masterson (best known for the great Before the Devil Knows You're Dead), this is looking to be a damn fun film.

The concept sounds pretty interesting and fairly unique. How big is the train supposed to be?

Never heard about this or the director, but the concept sounds like it's right up my alley. Will keep a close eye on this.
