Perhaps, you would like to elaborate on how themes like "betrayal", "killing more to save less", and plenty of (albeit somewhat censored) gore to be childish. I seriously doubt we are watching the same stuff...... Or you have a pretty unique take on the definition of the word 'childish'......

You have some funny definition of "childish".
Hmmm let's see.....many of the characters died horribly, the main character would sacrifice the minority without hesitation for the majority, clash of philosophy and ideals, and oh yeah we see children get tortured and die in gruesome ways. You know, for KIDS! Last edited by Vladrave; 2012-11-27 at 04:51. |

Great fun for the whole family. TS should enjoy this one. It's a good follow-up to that other excellent childrens show that has already been reccomended in this thread:Madoka Magica.

Are you sure you were watching the right show?
Children get tortured and killed. Characters get betrayed one after another. Willing to sacrifice people in order to achieve their goal. Tortures over all as well as horrible deaths. Psychological tortures... If all of that is childish, I have no idea in which world you live... I could agree with Fate/Stay Night but 100% not with Fate/Zero. Seriously, for someone who is into Naruto/Bleach your statement makes even less sense because those 2 shows are the most childish ones.

Oh, sorry guys, I got mistaken with another episode Full Metal Panic fumoffu, my mistake. I watched them both around the same time period.
I have a track record of watching anime for over 20 years, so I'm getting a bit senile, and forgetting about most animes. Violent Jack is also a piece! In fact a lot of the animes created around the 1990's where quite violent in nature, especially things like urotsukidoji Last edited by Daniel E.; 2012-11-27 at 19:35. |
