Lots of guys, one girl. It's Shoujo!
Which means I'll be watching this one. The characters looks nice too. Story itself looks promising as well. It's nice they're not "only" human. Maybe, just maybe this will be an action filled shoujo anime. Let's hope so.

Ep 2 - story is still average, but lots of surprises on other fronts...
1. DOGGIE! HUGE DOGGIE!! ♥ First it's Shinsekai yori with giant weirdo kitties, now it's a giant dog... (or wolf, whatever) plus a bunch of adorable foxes... heaven! 2. It's a bit weird to hear Namikawa Daisuke being a charming gentleman after Squealer in Shinsekai yori... the guy is ridiculously versatile. 3. oh, Sugiyama Noriaki! I haven't heard him in a long time. 4. OOH GUY IN UNIFORM. Also half-naked and chained and whipped. I approve. 5. Hm, Green Shirt Guy sounds a bit familiar at times, but not familiar at all at other times... weird, let's check who does his voice--- Terashima Takuma?! Whoa! This is the manliest I've heard him sound so far. Wikipedia tells me he took the role over from Nakai Kazuya so double thumbs up for him. 6. It's kind of ridiculous how this world is a fantasy early 20th century - and then there's Terashima's character with his sneakers and jeans and shirt that says 12. What. XD;; (OK, Shino's outfit is not very authentic either, but he's the main character so I wouldn't mind that.) Last edited by kuromitsu; 2013-01-13 at 17:32. |

I'm enjoying this in a modest way - it feels like an anime from 10 years ago, when fantasy/occult shows full of bishounen were more common. This is, of anything, a perfect fit for DEEN I think - their bright color schemes and so-so animation play up that retro feel, and they have a good handle on this type of character archetype.
Plus, it's always fun to see the yuri-loving hypocrites have aneurysms at the merest hint of shounen-ai.

Hamaji really is a pain.
At least he looks fun and interesting. His appetite reminds me of Luffy from One Piece. It's nice they threw in some funny parts. Satomi looks interesting as well, but he keeps conflicting with Shino. Sousuke's dog attracting thing was pretty LOL

Spoiler for ep 2:
I'm having trouble deciding which side of the equation (good vs evil) all the characters introduced in ep 2 belong on. Some are obvious. Others, I'm not so sure about yet.

LOL. I wonder about that preview as well. Genpachi...taken an interest in him already! I do wonder about the brown haired guy though (Gen's brother; can't remember his name). Is he the same guy as the brown haired kid that died with them at the very beginning in ep1? He looks like that kid.
