Will Kadokawa Group Holdings make a LN crossover project?
I'm been thinking for some while... But with Jigoku Youchien a possibility, I think a group like Kadokawa would not lose this opportunity.
I mean, they already have ASCII Media Works, Fujimi Shobo, Enterbrain, and Media Factory other than Kadokawa Shoten, and they control most of the LN market. So anyway, do you think it's possible to have a light novel crossover project? |

They technically already have, but odds are good you've never heard of it.
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82%...82%B8%E3%83%BC A collaboration anthology of a number of Enterbrain titles like Macademi, Baka to Test, and Yoshinaga-san'chi no Gargoyle. I read the Macademi one and it was terrible. |

Still, if I was a leader of this big Kadokawa Project, the story would be similar to Kamen Rider Decade (and by extent, Super Hero Taisen)... with the factions such as Dengeki Bunko, Fujimi Fantasia Bunko (and Dragon Magazine), and others fighting each other for their existence. And you're right Kud-chan, it depends of the execution and dedication for the project to happen! |

There was also Dengeki RPG: Cross of Venus, a DS RPG with Shakugan no Shana, Asura Klein, Toradora, and a bunch of other titles.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dengeki...Cross_of_Venus It was also terrible. |

Crossovers between light novel series of similar publisher do happen when the moon, sun and stars all align; I know that there's a baka test/haruhi crossover in the making.
Slightly more frequent to my knowledge are crossovers from titles with the same author, SAO/AW and denyuuden/Itsuten for example. And there are even some cases where a different author takes a shot at writing a oneshot of another series. The author of durarara wrote an SS story for Railgun.
