Now this story is chilling:
Video Report: http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2013/02/2...nk/?hpt=ac_bn1 Summation: A 21-year old woman's body was found inside a hotel water tank. How'd it get there? Suspicion points to murder.

In this day and age in the gloominess of media news, we could sometimes use some uplifting stories.

Eh... human hasn't started being greedy just in the past few decades, while Mr. Harris displayed exceptional integrity here, I challenge you to point out any human civilization where people would be shocked to find a poor person deciding to keep what is practically a small fortune for them.

The hotel already has a very creepy history of suicides and serial killers: Autopsy is inconclusive: http://articles.latimes.com/2013/feb...-body-20130222 Paranormal events at the hotel: http://memoriesproject.com/2012/02/2...haunted-hotel/ This could totally be made into a really creepy movie. The movie would start out with scenes of the satanist serial killer killing his victim in one of the rooms. Then flash forward to the protagonist trying to start her journalism career so she decides to investigate this hotel based on a story her father told her. That story would be the one from the blog where her father stayed in the room where the serial killer choked one of his victims to death. So she's investigating the paranormal activities if the hotel and we see flashbacks of the other creepy events (suicides, other serial killers, satanist rituals, etc) being told by hotel staff, police, etc. Meanwhile she also finds out more about the serial killer's satanist cult and how they're still around. She starts getting strange visions leading her to think there's something important on the rooftop. Maybe she finds clues showing that the Satanists are performing rituals on the roof of the hotel. Then things start getting crazy where her visions starts blending into reality and she tries to escape the hotel but she can't (the elevator footage would be used here to start the sequence). The end of the movie would be a news report of her body being found in the water tank. It should be ambiguous whether she was killed by the supernatural or actually killed by the satanists who still inhabit the hotel. |

What sort of person are you when you're alone in the dark? I would have only returned such an item if there was a reward--otherwise I would have fenced it without hesitation. The fear of not being able to afford to pay rent or buy groceries is a bit stronger than the fear of Bronze Age fairy tales about a bearded man in the sky.

All it means, as far as I can see, is that crime is (relatively) low at best, and massively underreported at worst. Remember that rape/murder scandal a few weeks back in India, precisely? Where were that honor and piety then? |
