I have such a gigantic list where do I sta-
Genesis of Aquarion: Yes the original, coupled with the OVAs it is my favorite anime of all time. I really did enjoy the artistry, atmosphere, music, mecha, and monsters of the week. I always see people complaining about it being "cliched" or "hard to take seriously". Everyone just has to be a cynical critic. EVOL is mostly the same, but it's flaws are due to the fact they added a loli in the cast, the second set of music pieces were not that good, and they got rid of their monsters of the week. Gundam SEED Destiny: My favorite gundam entry. I'll admit that some character actions are unneeded, there could have been a better epilogue (even with Final Plus), and I can get why people call bullcrap on Kira surviving the Freedom Gundam's destruction. Outside of that the supposed flaws are usually ragesters going "darn it I hate long range beam spam!" "darn it I hate plot armor!" "darn it Shinn y u no grow up!" "Hirai-face nooooooo!" "them protag/hero hijacks!" "Stock footage and clipshows waah!" Most of the complaints can be subjective and I understand people have different tastes, but crying over stock footage? Watch Six God Combination God Mars if you want REAL stock footage problems, 58 of the 64 episodes use the exact same fighting animations the entire time! At least Destiny's clipshows bother giving some character development and can be kind of amusing, have you seen clipshows from VOTOMS or Ryu Knight? Great Dangaioh: Aside from Miya being in a tube and the titular mecha appearing in the last ep I really saw no reason why people hated it. This series had hot blooded music, funny characters, lots of action, and some very nice monsters of the week. Victory Gundam: People complain about it for things called "Tomino-isms" or whatever. I don't know what those are so.... It ended up being my second favorite entry in the franchise. Diebuster: The only criticism I see for this is "It does not feel like the original!" The original was a story about deep space creatures going against over the top machines and looking extremely pretty while doing it. The original Space Terrible Monster Crowd even returns in the second half! (like how their first appearance was in Gunbuster) I thought it felt like the old OVAs just fine even if fanservice was excessive. I guess it is similar to how Halloween 3 is hated by Halloween fans or something. Super Robot Wars Original Generations The Inspector: "Pacing issues and it has OBARI of all people!" The pacing seemed fine to me and truthfully who CARES who is on staff? The people on staff should not merit or demerit a work. That and Masami Obari has his work cut out for him. Zoids: Fuzors: My first experience into the Zoids franchise, people whine about bad CGI, I had nothing to compare it to when watching, it did not seem bad in hindsight, and it felt like G Gundam where it was just simple and fun. I enjoy this series more than I did NCZ or Genesis. Brave Police J-Decker: Not much hate here, but I see a lot of people from /m/ thinking it is shotacon. |

I may already mentioned this: Code Geass R2. Most of its hatedom lies on its ending than anything else(and some complained it's a blatant Legend of the Galactic Heroes ripoff).
I think what most people hate from its ending is they thought it doesn't worth what they went through both seasons even we already had the clue from the first few episodes from the first season. It's Mass Effect 3 all over again. |

Liked the beginning....and then it went all.....Evangelion on us. >_> The whole thing with Lulu's parents was pretty stupid, imho...and so was "Nunnally actually escaped that atomic bomb at the last second!" I think NK 500 is right. A lot of people loathe R2, compared to R1, at least.

Yes, I do firmly believe the ending is ambiguous, despite the creators throwing a temper tantrum and changing the ending later. That was so immature of them.

Well, they didn't add new footage but they DID change the dialogue. It's ridiculous!
