Thanks for relaying that useless information to be because if you could have actually read that's not what I was calling him out for. Also using the "Kodansha Manga Award" one that was given to such candidates like Fairy Tail and Air Gear isn't a good way to drive your point across.

I'd appreciate it if both sides (yes both) would stop the bickering right now. Anyway I recently caught up with the manga again and looking forward to seeing it animated. |

I can't say to be particularly happy for this anime adaption even if I wanted for this to happen. The problem is that, in my opinion, this is too early.
Sure there is enough material to adapt, but the story so far hasn't reached a point where you can successfully create something out of it that can be considered even remotely conclusive. The way I see it this anime can only end in a huge cliffhanger or into an original ending that will completely screw up the source. Either way there will be people that will be very dissatisfied. I guess they couldn't wait any longer to exploit the huge hype that this manga series is having. Commercially speaking they are doing the "right" thing, but from an artistic standpoint not so much.

there won't be any difference whether the manga will have good stopping/ending point in the future or not.
since atm SnK has more than enough material to cover 2 cour series easily, and I don't see it gets animated more than that in one go.

On the other hand I really want to see it animated cause it'd be awesome to see the action in animated form. |

It depends on how fast they adapt the chapters, if any material is added/changed/removed, if they decide to go with multiple seasons, etc. I too worry about the conclusion because currently there isn't really any good spot for the anime to stop at, but that doesn't mean much except the possibility of an implausible, rushed, or abrupt ending.
Has a schedule been released for it yet?

I think it would ultimately come down to the episode count. I doubt it'll be 13 episodes since that would frankly be a waste considering how popular the series is, but if it was then I could see it just stopping at some random point in the manga and waiting for another season. If it's 24-26 episodes then an anime only ending is pretty much inevitable since even if they only went at the pace of say 1 chapter per episode, it would still be years before they could make another season and it would be more practical to make up an ending and reboot the anime later down the line when the manga's closer to ending. Of course this is all under the assumption the anime's successful. It probably will be but you never know.

It's Tetsurō Araki and I.G/Wit. Expect 22-26 episodes. It will start on April 7th, 1 in the morning in Japan. I have faith this can be good since Tetsurō is one of the best manga adapters in recent history. Also, expect Funi to licences it. Seeing as how it will inevitably be the biggest Spring show. |
