How about a series with a REAL ending?

Hey guys (and gals),

I'm sure there may be differing opinions here, but I have to ask you guys to recommend me some romance series that have actual endings. I'm tired of all of these recent series building up a relationship then falling horribly short with a terrible final arc or episode. Some series even go further than that, having the "end" of the story happen before the last episode or two and those episodes being filler/random.

I don't want to give any spoilers away, as some people might be okay with the "endings" of a lot of stuff I've seen. However, if examples are needed, I'll provide some.

So yeah, I'm pretty open to anything in terms of genre as long as there is a (semi) strong romance in the story. Also, the story has to end! Or at least have an ending that makes sense for a season finale (with a definite acknowledgment of a second season).

Any ideas?

Personally, I hate romance anime that lacks a "real romantic ending". The list here have a closed ending which the protagonist had really choose a girl.

School Days - Good romantic comedy with a hell of an ending.

Ef - A Tale of Memories - I can't express how amazing this 12 episode romance is. Seriously, it's fantastic.

And no, DON'T watch School Days

Mashiroiro Symphony is exactly something you're looking for. I only watched the first episode, but I heard the ending looks good although you need to see it for yourself.
I second Hiiro no Kakera and KoiChoco as well.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I ended up watching KoiChoco and was immersed in that for a few days.

I'll agree that it definitely fit the bill, and was a solid series overall. However, just because it actually had a real ending (which it did for the most part), it doesn't mean I have to like it, haha.

It ended the story well, just... it wasn't what I was hoping for. Thanks for the suggestion and I would recommend the series, definitely, I just wish it would've ended the way I wanted it to.

As per some other suggestions, I've watched everything that you guys have suggested, aside from School Days. I've seen plenty of stuff talking about how bad it is and sometimes it makes me wanna give it a shot. But I've been told to steer clear so I probably will.

Maison Ikkoku will be coming up soon, so hopefully I'll enjoy that. I'd love to hear more suggestions if you guys know anything else.

I'll probably try Hiiro no Kakera next though. As for Genji's suggestions, I'll write a more detailed response when I have a bit more time. I've seen most of them but I'll talk about them a bit.
