Career evaluation forms were the bane of every teenager's existence. It was essentially the reminder that not everything was fun and games and soon they would have to enter the stressful life of working society.

"Why don't you just write what you want and hand it in?" Irish suggested lightly, leaning back in his seat. He personally didn't find anything stressful there, at least not for his girlfriend: She was an IS pilot and an Idol. She was practically rolling in money and job opportunities and money at this point.

Karon looked up from the form in front of her and scowled lightly. It had been one year since they were officially going out with one another and she was already in the middle of her second year of high school here. One more year or so and she would be heading to college and the work force.

"Yuu-kun, you know I can't do that," She sighed, "This is the basis for all their evaluation's of me when I grow up."

"You really take this stuff seriously, don't you?" He smiled and laughed under his breath at her serious nod, "To be honest, I'd prefer it if you didn't grow up so fast. I'm getting tired of people calling me your little brother."

Karon had a sudden growth spurt in the past year. Despite the fact that she looked to be about average for her age, it didn't change the fact that his own internal hormone problem meant he wouldn't change appearance anytime soon. And no, it didn't bother him that she was taller or that people mistook him for her little brother.

Okay, maybe he was slightly bothered.

"Yuu-kun doesn't take it seriously enough!" She huffed, "Mom and Dad told me to apply to an all-girls university and even sent me a few places to check out, but....."

"Don't you have any dreams for the future?" Irish asked curiously.

"Of course I do!" She replied back, indignant. Right now she was actually deciding whether to continue her idol work or go to college. Idol's wouldn't last forever, but the money was good and it was fun. She also had a future in IS research or the army. Decisions, decisions.

"Then just write that down."

"Uh....I can't write that here........" She looked to the side and tried to keep down the blush that stained her cheeks. Irish continued to look confused.

"Why?"

"Why...you say...." She closed her eyes tightly and scribbled down something quickly in the form before shoving it to him, "This....This is why...!"

Irish looked at the words written on the form before coughing awkwardly. Well, that was certainly bold of her. Still, as the boyfriend, it was his duty to take it all with a smile....right? Damn, he still wasn't used to this relationship thing. Usually she was the one to take the lead.

"W-Well....that's a given....but I meant something more like an occupation," He started off uneasily.

"Don't just wave it away like its nothing!" She took the form back and slammed it down onto the table, "What about you, Yuu-kun? What's your dream?"

"Me?" He looked surprise for a moment before frowning slightly, "Joshua's offering to teach me about how to become a doctor. I've also gotten efforts to be part of the engineering club due to my skills, but that's of little interest to me. I've taken so many lives, it'll be interesting to see how it feels to give life back."

Karon gave a sad smile briefly before ruffling his hair in an affectionate manner, "Hmm, Yuu-kun's surprisingly responsible on this," She continued to ruffle his hair, as if saying 'Good Boy'.

"That's kind of rude," He didn't shake her off. What the hell did she mean by 'surprisingly? "Anyway, you should hand that in soon. The deadline's today and you don't want to miss it."

As Karon continued to scribble onto the form, Irish grabbed into his pack briefly before pulling out the holy item: A container of pocky. Inwardly he smiled, grabbing one of the sticks and beginning to nibble on it. This was one of the sweets he was allowed to eat. Maya - Wait, calling her Mom would be more appropriate - could be such a worrywart at times.

"Ah!" Karon pointed at the pocky in his mouth, "Hey, bringing sweets in the school is against the rules!" She was hungry too, damn it! How could he eat that knowing she was starving!?

"A guy can't go very long without getting hungry," He picked up another stick and began to eat it. He was going to give it to her as a reward for finishing her questionnaire early, but he had gotten hungry. He needed to eat if he wanted to stop looking like he did.

"I'm confiscating them!" Karon grabbed the box before he could protest, "You shouldn't be eating so much in between meals. A balanced diet is key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

"Rrrgh, fine!" He threw up his hands dramatically and flopped his head onto the table, "Just finish your questionnaire already so we can go."

"Alright!" She sighed and went back to the paper. All the words, all the blank spaces, she couldn't do this.... Wearily she glanced at the box of pocky, just laying there innocently. It was taunting her, she was sure of it.

But just one couldn't hurt, right? She reached out for it before quickly pulling her hand back. She had just scolded her boyfriend on eating and she was going to grab one? She'd look like a hypocrite.

There was only one thing to do, "Yuu-kun, look, Maya-sensei tripped on the steps!"

Irish turned around and looked at the area she pointed out in a panick before he remembered: Maya had the day off today, "Hey, what's the big-" He stopped as he stared at his girlfriend. She was chewing, and the pocky box was open. He didn't need to be a genius to figure it out.

".....Hey, Karon..."

"Wh-What, Yuu-kun?" She looked up and nearly let out tears as Irish smacked her in the face with the side of his palm. It didn't hurt, but it was extremely surprising given his lack of physique.

"If you wanted one, just say so!"

"I-I couldn't ask for one after just yelling at you about them!" She protested weakly, rubbing her forehead with both of her hands.

"I'm confiscating them," He grabbed the pocky box and held it away from her when she tried to reach for it, "Seriously, you're just as bad as I am," He rolled his eyes as he grabbed one of the sticks.

"...Sorry..."

"Hey, are you still hungry?" Karon looked up from her slump and nodded. He grinned, "Here, lets share it then." He placed a pocky stick between his lips and leaned forward on the desk.

Karon briefly wondered what he was trying to do before she realized it: He was trying for one of those pocky kisses, "Hey, Yuu-kun, maybe that isn't such a good idea right now," She pointed at the classroom around them.

"We're alone here," He grinned, "Come on, I've been wanting to try this for a bit. Usually you're the one taking the lead when it comes to these things."

Karon blushed bright red, "Well then....itadakimasu..." Ever since the end of the constant fighting, he'd gotten more socially adjusted. She guessed she couldn't complain by now. She spent all that time trying to coax him out of his shell, so things like this were expected.

.....It tasted like chocolate.

Next to them, the career evaluation form was abandoned. On the space next to occupation there were only three words: 'Yuu-kun's bride'.

Without realizing it, I smiled…

I forgot… when the last time I smiled… especially near them?

“Since Ichika-nii’s officially became a Class Rep… no, I think it’s after the mysterious attack?” probably Madoka will say that, had she knew. She probably doesn’t know, considering what I’ve done since that time.

Thus we arrive, in the infirmary; they made a ruckus by hijacking the first aid box, made the nearby nurse welp.

As if they synchronized into one being, they forced me to sit calm with force, yet skillfully and gently examined my ‘injury’. Both of them swiftly wash their hand and robbed down medical glove out of its dispenser, without slightest bit of doubt or failures.

I can see even the doctor is amazed, and the reason why she didn’t intervene as of yet.

“Don’t be stupid… what do you think-“

“Stand. Down” they said, in such a chilly tone that it made the doctor jump.

The discrepancy between their warm, tender care and their cold hard expression seriously made me confused. The touch of cotton soaked with iodine does sting, but it’s not even what I concerned.

Although… now that I think, we did share the same blood after all… Orimuras on their worst moment become valiant warriors.

Even those irresponsible cowards of our parents.

“As much as I dislike your action sometimes…” Madoka muttered whilst checking the inner part of my mouth “I really don’t want to hurt my precious sister, the only big sister I have”

Ichika continued “But if you don’t open yourself to us, then what do you see in us as family?”

In a moment of divine harmony, their face and words mellowed down to a beautiful expression “So please Chifuyu-nee, stop being so distant”

In that moment, I felt their resolve filled my heart with warmth and courage, shattered my permanent, stony guise.

“Instructor”

Bodewig and Dunois stood up just outside the door, their expression neutral. Although, I feel something changed with Bodewig.

She became somewhat… more peaceful than usual; I can see it clearly in her eyes.

“Do not run from your weakness, if you cannot face it with dignity, at least don’t show your enemies you can’t”

The same words I just said yesterday, echoing again in my mind.

I stood up and smiled in response… menacingly.

“…But they aren’t my enemies, aren’t I?” I said to her “All of you are my student, and all of you are irreplaceable…"

"Anyway, do you even know my OTHER weakness?”

“Good lord, not that one please” the twins rolled their head looking at each other with horrified expression.

Of course they’re horrified; they knew that all too well.

“I am not THAT irresponsible” I grinded their head together, they desperately struggled and released themselves, with a scowl painted on their face afterwards.

“ORIMURA-SENSEI!!!!”

A stampede, no, a HORDE of student arrived in front of the infirmary. At least they didn’t charge in, that would be very bothersome.

“We’ve heard you’re injured” one of them shrieked

(No, she really shrieked, though I wish I’m exaggerating …)

“Yeah, thanks to those little scoundrel here”

“Oi, it’s not like we want to” they disapprovingly crossed their arms… seriously, when exactly they become this alike for extended amount of time? “Orimura-Sensei”

At last… they didn’t say my title with spite.

“Whoa, the twins managed to injure her somehow”

“They’re really strong, aren’t they?!”

I can see it now, Ichika already well known for his unsubtle entry to the world of I.S. and his sister wasn’t really a slouch either. But for Orimuras, titles are unwanted burdens most of the time.

It’s up to them however they deal with it.

“Now now let’s out of here, injured person inside” the twins shooed, or rather, pulled the attention of the blob of estrogen away.

Also, how long do idols generally last? At what age does their popularity dwindle?

There are a few things that I would re-word in a different way to make it easier to read... But still nice. I like the touch of them scaring the doctor. XD

But Laura appearing there seemed kinda random... 0.0 Maybe a little sentence to link to how the students that Ichika 'commanded' to move out of the way ran off to tell everyone that 'Orimura-sensei was hurt' and that her little brother and sister were like two guard dogs escorting her? Laura and Charl could then rush to go see her before the floodgates of estrogen descend upon the infirmary.

I do think we need to work on making what Ichika says back to Chifuyu be worthy of a dual faceplant though...

@ Era: The idol scene is TOUGH from what I heard, but then again, it's what I heard. Most of them don't last a year. And apparently, their virginity belongs to the fans so they can't have normal relationships... >.> Stupidest thing I ever heard was about that one fiasco. Anyway, from 14 up to about 25. That IdolMaster game pretty much walks you through the entire thing, minus a lot of the really nasty stuff that could go on.

Like I said before, ST is chock full of idiocy and unnecessary conflict. But because everyone didn't stop hoping trying, they got happy end, always.

Please, anything will be an improvement. I knew blitz have headache working with it, because the sheer QUALITY the draft show.

On the issue of lolduo appearing at random, yes, they rushed on that because the resulting ruckus. Then again, last time they're actually have talk just outside the lounge... I guess it happens when you're not good enough to handle bajillion POV.

On the twins statement, probably more like

“Good lord, not that one please, that will end badly, very badly”

Ichika is playing sport, and damn good at it. Being handsome + being athletic, and he's also the little bro of the most badass woman in the world, which can turn straight female into bisexual.

At any rate, Ran will be Ichika's one true fangirl.

Finally, it comes to an end…

We managed to reach her… and sorted out the problem… hell, I don’t even dreams it would be so easy.

Too easy, but what we’ve endure for years… is that enough? It’s not Chifuyu-nee’s entire fault too.

And somehow, it also strengthened the link between me and Ichika-nii.

Without saying anything, we’re able to understand and communicate. Our combined strength managed to break through the wall that Chifuyu-nee build to keep us away.

If I could boast this, it’s a bond that only twins can share.

I knew what he wanted to do, I knew what he thought, it’s crystal clear, and he also felt the same, judging how he acted just now.

It’s like our very own soul fused into one.

I could see both Bodewig and Charles surprised, although I assume from Charles’ grin afterward, it’s a good thing.

Bodewig… she huffed and turned her back on us, but in a moment, I could see…

She’s changed… her hatred; it wasn’t as intense as before.

Instead, it replaced with something else… something that I couldn’t get a grasp on.

“… individual tournament, show me that you two weaklings are worthy of being her precious people… if not, I’ll never accept it… I’ll never forgive you”

For a moment, I saw a fiery spark in ichika-nii’s eyes.

It wasn’t hatred either.

It was a passionate response, a champion’s resolve.

And Bodewig once again faced us.

With a wide grin and glare that would make joker envious.

“So what? You’re running away, weakling?”

“I don’t know, for all we knew, either of us might be swept away in preliminaries, running away is the least I thought now” he retorted, amazingly, without sounding a quarter as smug as Bodewig is.

The murmur and cries of the student stopped dead, it was completely silent. As if they’re charmed by his sudden shift of atmosphere, they’re awed by unsuppressed aura of supremacy.

Charles simply smiled.

It was like the air itself become heavier and unsteady. For me and Charles, it’s not much of a change. But for most run of the mill student, this sure made their heart throb rapidly in anticipation.

Two people, stood high above the others in terms of level. It’s a battle of the top dogs to prove their principle and determination.

“Well, that’s interesting… though I’m kind of irked…” Ichika-nii grinned “I wish Rin can join this bandwagon… we have a score to settle”

“It’s good to be youthful; I guess everyone really looks up for the tournament eh?”

Our attention switched to the source of the voice, it was Yamada-sensei.

Her smile widened reacting to our… enthusiasm.

“Anyway, it’s changed to pair tournament now”

It’s as if the hell itself froze.

Bodewig is especially pissed, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.

“Yamada-sensei” I muttered “Does that mean, two person teams?”

“Ayup, Orimura-san” she giggled “I knew this is sudden, but I hope everyone can adjust well”

I smiled.

I smiled like never before.

“Well, that’s like… a whole new level of awesome” Charles laughed.

“Well, I guess….” Ichika-nii looked at me, but Madoka, don’t be tempted. You have a plan, something different than this.

It’s so hard not to fall for this but…

“Okay then, I’m not going to join with Ichika-nii or anyone with Cadet Rep level of awesomeness”

Ichika-nii raised his eyebrow for a while, but then, putting a bright encouraging smile “Good approach that” he must’ve thought putting all the bread in one basket is silly.

Then again…

“ICHIKA-SAMA PLEASE JOIN WITH ME!”

“CHARLES-KUN, BE MY PARTNER PLEASE!”

“KYAA! KYAA!!”
