Whats the deal with people hating Nana Mizuki?
I've read on a few random website's/Blogs stating she is the 2nd most hated seiyuu next to Aya Hirano but haven't been able to find a reason why? I don't really keep up with the seiyuu gossip.
Personal i am a massive fan of Nana Mizuki ive read her autobiography and a lot of her live perforamces i have found quite moving and have enjoyed her in most roles ive seen her in. Im just confused as to why a lot of people seem to hate/dislike her. Can someone explain what the deal with Nana Mizuki being the 2nd most hate seiyuu? |

I'm not sure that "a few random blogs/websites" are good objective sources, and neither that "most hated" is some sort of objective metric. But I'd also say that being "second most hated" (if that's true) hasn't really stopped her from being hugely successful. Perhaps it's like how Justin Bieber is certainly seems like one of the most "hated" pop stars online, but that doesn't stop him from being hugely successful with his audience.
In short, whatever the "reasons" may be, I'm not sure if it's something to be all that concerned about... but perhaps someone else knows why some people are upset/annoyed.

i hate her. because she does not fly from the outside, through the windows as i lay on my bed ... gasping... and then she let out her voice tenderly and softly saying. .. "at least for tonight i am yours.... want a little song to cheer you up?" as she getting closer and pursing her lips into a smiles that filled the night.
I hate her for that.

I'm sure she gets a recent bad rep due to the Kokoro Connect incident right? I'm asking this since I'm having a recent interest in seiyuu industry even though I know most of them basing solely on their names and voices.

But Nana Mizuki is probably one of the more successful voice actors out there, selling a ton of albums and what not, so, I suppose that does bring along the haters. It could also be because she's 33, and "too old", because as you know if people are afraid of 2-d characters not being virgins, imagine them actually looking at a real woman.

I'd like to see which poll you're referring to and to what degree it was sabotaged. She may not be famous for her voice acting but she is the most influential anime seiyuu and is virtually loved by everyone. Especially in Japan. I can't even recall an instance where some one hated on Nana Mizuki. The few that do, I'm sure it's nothing more than a popularity thing. Some people like to indiscriminately hate on popular people or things.
