Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen anyone from the God side appear in the anime. Like angels. (Rather, what else is on the God side except Angels? Depending on myth, I guess)
Not counting humans. That said, considering this anime loves rooting for demons and the Satan-side, I wouldn't be surprised if God was evil or dead or the servants become demons like Asia or pretty much nothing good for that side. PS: And last time I checked, Lucifer is supposed to be a fallen angel...

Very confusing episode.
The pacing was particularly terrible, since some scenes changed and moved too fast and somewhat forced. Also, even with teleportation ability that some characters possess, i still felt too much disconnect when they appeared on one scene, disappeared on other scene, and re-appeared again on another scene when the plot demands it. Basically; plot convenience. In fact, i don't even understand 50% of what happened, since the plot moved too fast and left me behind on next moment even before i could digest what TF actually going on (Aside from the retarded naked apron scene, btw). I was sitting here with a big WTF face and ended up with much bigger WTF face when a demonic figure who claimed himself as Kokabiel appeared out of the blue, proclaimed war out of the blue, and, either due to plot convenience that nerfing his actual power or some unexplained phenomenas, picked out school ground of all place as the battlefield. How forced is that? I have no idea what's going on in novel, but this episode gave me impression that only LN readers who actually could digest it. Let me sums up into small resume : Action --> fanservice --> Action again --> fanservice again --> forced twist |

That aside, pretty much there are too many versions of the rulers of Hell going by several names. Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Satan are said to be the ruler of Hell depending of which Bible you read from. Also, there are the 7 Princes of Hell so there are potentially 7 rulers of Hell. If I were to define this series' version of Mythology of other religions, all sources of Hell and other religions are combined together in this series. |

Hmm people can think that everything is done out of chance, convenience. But for me its basically a case of cause and effect.
1) Gremory and Sitri makes the academy their base 2) Bad guy Kokabiel wants to send a very strong message to the devils and angels 3) Using Freed, Kokabiel gets the attention of the church and tries to lure them to devil territory 4) Irina and Xenovia show up for angel's side 5) By destroying the HQ of 2 devil nobles (or maybe even murder of said nobles), Ignite the fuse of a giant time bomb and make open war involving all sides Its just this bad guy's plan all along. He has to show himself, being a very high ranked fallen angel, to now finally force the others to move. He is attempting to break the stalemate. P.S. Spoiler for summary:

The problem i'm having is, there's just no proper development leading to such event. We all know the name of Kokabiel was hinted on earlier episode, but that's all, pretty much nothing else to actually convinces me that he's actually the mastermind behind this shitstorm. Yeah, i know that things were explained more thoroughly in novel, but the studio didn't show them properly in adaptation, hence my confusion. strictly speaking, the adaptation lacks some subtlety, which i've been complaining about since episode 1
