Anyways the sadness/emptiness only really lasted me 1-2 days. And I've now begun on both GTO and Air Gear and they aren't similar to NHK but I'm really enjoying both of them.

Looking back its a much happier feeling now even though I finished NHK, a satisfied feeling of being grateful at experiencing such a great anime and knowing that I'll watch it again real soon.

I find what really helps is balancing out anime interests with other stuff, for example i like certain stand up comedy stuff so i watch that, and through laughing it eases those sad feelings

Also live action stuff like Breaking Bad, great movies can be sorta like a push back to reality
Toni-Cipriani I get the same exact feeling, especially with Fooly Cooly but that might have been because it ended too soon for me, have you ever caught yourself imagining the story continuing on to a point that gave you a better sense of closure?

Do you sometimes get sad after watching an anime?
Yes, after watching something extremely mediocre, sad that I have wasted my valuable, precious, free time.

Otherwise no.

Maybe if I'm rewatching something that so deserves an additional season, but my hopes are low of them actually getting one . That can be pretty painful.

A sad episode can certainly drop my mood for a while. But something that was good and ended well doesn't normally make me sad that it's over. Just feel satisfied that it was a good series and a good journey.

Question Y u do dis anime?

I just finished fullmetal alchemist and after watching it I also felt sad and empty. When the series ended I felt kind of happy because It was a cliff hangar and the story wasn't over, then my friend told me there was a movie to conclude the series, so I watched it and I felt the final ending was just incomplete and sad. To be honest I would have been happier if it ended with episode 51, because all of the characters were together *MAJOR SPOILER* and not seperated by another world, yes ed and al were together but what about all the side characters i loved like Winry and lieutenant hawkeye, Second Lieutenant Maria Ross ect... Point is I'm sad to see the characters I've come to know and love just go like that and now i don't know what to do with myself. It was the same with death note but on a smaller scale, I guess because it had less episodes.
Does anyone know an anime that has a nice, happy ending? Is it sad because I binge watched it, so then the ending seemed almost abrubt in a way?

Do I get sad?

If it's something that I've grown to love, not gonna lie. I've teared up.

Well, yes I do get sad for a variety of reasons. Like one of my favorite character dies or has an unhappy ending to their story.

Akame ga Kill series is one of those anime that got me sad on the final fate of some characters.
