Am...I the only person who is completely and utterly unimpressed by this? It doesn't really look that interesting to me in the least, but I saw people absolutely losing their shit about it earlier.
Then again, I played about ten minutes of the original Drakengard before giving up and deciding that no story was worth sitting through gameplay that god-awful, so...

Drakengard 1 and 2 are meant to be read about, not played. I can't wait 'til Drakengard 3 comes out!

Nier was genuinely fascinating.

Cool. I've always expected this, but there's no guarantee given Square Enix's difficulties lately.

I wonder if there's enough of a financial crunch that they won't bother to dub the game?

Drakengard huh... It's one of those games where the story is great but the gameplay is lacking >_< Would have played it if I don't have backlog of games/book like I used to during PS2 eta, but I think I'll pass this time. Too bad, it looks to have such an amazing story too >_<

If there's any connection, it's more likely with Furiae rather than Caim or Nowe.

Caim was nothing special as an human being, he simply had the 'luck' that his sister got chosen by the lottery of the 'Goddess Seal.'

And Nowe was... unnatural, so I highly doubt he has any connection of sorts.

That's one of the best things. He's not special but he ends up saving the world, growing a close relationship with one of the most powerful dragons and becomes super powerful.

Compared to someone who gets handed special stuff, he wins.

Drakengard 3 got positive reviews in Dengeki

Here’s the summary about their review:

- The Scenario is the highest level of the series, it can bring some laughter and tears.

- Some “certain scenes” makes you want to scream up (TL note: maybe it’s a twist scene)

- The camera is a little disappointing

- It is easy to play, but the action is more exhilarating than the previous works

- Characters speak non-stop

- Completing a stage will takes a little longer time than DOD and DOD2

- It takes an average 40 hours to finish the game and 100+ hours to perfect things up

- The game music is definitely a gem and masterpiece

Overall:

It brings back memories of the previous works (DOD, DOD2, and Nier), but it is really improved.

Drag-On Dragoon 3 (Drakengard 3) PlayStation Dengeki’s Scores: 100/90/85/95

Ugh. I don't know about anyone else but DOD stages have always been one of the worst parts of the series due how long there and fact most of time your just doing same thing. If there more variety beyond "kill everything in bland barren landscape!". I can only this has been improved somewhat.

The OST and characters alone is worth buying the game. I'm looking forward to it.

From what I heard, SE will release the JP voice pack DLC for the game, right?
