I don't know the Grimm that we've seen so far just extremely weak to me to be giving humanity as much trouble as there considering what the people have to work with. It seems like they should have them beaten back somewhat to remote regions not the world mostly controlled by them.

It sounds like we are going to be getting some RWBY web comics during the off weeks this season. Maybe that's most of Velvet's team stuff will appear.

Yeah, there were a giant Nevermore and a giant Deathstalker within walking distance of civilization, in an area that likely gets cleaned out by the new class of first years each year. Those were a pushover... [/sarc]

Don't be fooled by the fact that all of our main characters (almost all, sorry Jaune) are ultra badasses compared to normal humans and Faunus. And keep in mind that even they have trouble with some Grimm.

There must be some pertinent reason the human residents of Remnant have never been able to remove the Grimm thus far. And this is keeping in mind the long time frame humans have been fighting them.

Makes you wonder with the gear the protagonists are using for Grimm hunting, what kind of tech their actual military has in reserve for serious situations.

Sorry about the late response I've been busy and haven't been doing much online.

I wasn't fooled the Grimm just seemed quite a bit weaker then I expected of course it could have to do with me picking up the dvd in Wal-Mart for $13 because I thought it looked interesting the opening monologue made the situation with Grimm seem grimmer then it was and I didn't see any of the Trailers till after I had watched the series which might have given me a different impression. Also it is kind of weird that there are that many large Grimm roaming so close to a major city more so because of the professional hunters not the students.

Personally not a fan of Velvet's design, but I hope any tweaks RT makes to the design improves it more than the base design sketches. My biggest gripe was the color scheme, especially since it's long established that Velvet's color scheme is a shade of brown, not the sky blue used in the sketches.

I would have gone for a design that takes ideas from a rabbit instead.

P.S. I ship her with Oobleck. I can just imagine her saying "Sensei..." seductively and him taking rapid sips of whatever he's drinking.

I think that brown might be their placeholder color for non-established emblems, considering her name suggests scarlet. Ren's clothing makes his personal color unclear as well.

I do hope they tweak the submission's color for the final design, though, even if it's just the gold highlights.

That seemed to be a popular idea among the submissions, but I'm glad one of those didn't win. Think about it. She's got long rabbit ears, but she's not actually a rabbit. Instead, that rabbit-like appearance leads to nothing but trouble for her, with little gain. It's the equivalent of a non-Faunus taking on a rabbit motif because they were born with a harelip. Even if she is proud to be a Faunus, which is not a certain thing, that's not all there is to her.

You have a point there; doing the rabbit motif straight actually goes against Velvet's possible thing about being a Faunus.
