Just got my GM Command Space and a hobby knife set (cheap) from Ace. Gonna try a speedbuild today - see how low it takes for assembly, no lining. I'll line later.

....or I could just wait until next weekend, when the OST comes out, then build alongside [flamenco intensifies].

I have to agree.
I love the Exia but this isn't nice.
For starters the 4 prong thingys that point out are just weird and aren't doing the modal any favours.
Next is the colours, something is off. Either its theres too much red or the wrong parts that are red.

Personally I think its the COLOR

The red is too bright standard gundam red

What they needed is a darker blood red, like the darker red found on the Sazabi

Not really, the problem is that there is not enough diversity in the red and black. They need a 3rd color like light grey, silver or gold for more detailing. The dark grey is absorbed by the black. Also they need to swap red and black here and there.

Isn't that the prototype? Maybe we should wait till we see it in the show before making a judge of its color. For all we know, the official model might have off-colors.

Those 2 GN swords can't be Exia DM's only weapons... can it...? =A=;;

No, it's not 'exactly' prototype color, it has been painted fully for what I can see, and there's three tones of color.

It's just hard to see when the gray is dark enough to be mistaken for pitch black. The gray part is there on he sword, fist, and joints.

Not painted fully actually. The swords for one don't have their grey parts. This is what the Exia DM looks like in full color:

The so called prototype Exia DM isn't painted. It's very hard to get a "plastic" finish like that with paint. I'd say it's been sanding to remove flow lines in the plastic, or they were really picky with the runners they chose for the picture.

If the next RG isn't build strike, I'll be shocked. If it's not, it's simply because they don't want it to be as obvious, as the show is making it out to be.

If they are smart they will include a clear blue frame with parts, so you can do the whole RG gimmick from the show.

Should be a Variation of Exia R2, so it should be GN Sword Kai's blade

Now that I think about it, wasn't it that Gundam BF could not use Gundam 00 Season 2 stuff due to licensing conflict? Why Exia get the special treatment with its GN swords? O.o

joke aside, yeah, they use the loophole of using R2 equipment on Exia's body.
