Actually someone did a sketch of something like what you're saying that was uploaded last week before ep. 23 aired. In fact it was the only prediction, yet there hasn't been any signs. I was thinking if something did happen then we might get the whole "NEESAN" ultra power-up. I really don't want to see anything happen to Satsuki. If it did then the only family that she would have is the Makanshoku clan, and the elite 4. Considering one parent gone, we don't need another but hey we just have to see. But I can see the level of "vibes" on Satsuki. You're not the only one saying, folks on YT have been doing their reviews and live-reactions and they are saying the exact same thing. And I'll admit I've felt it to but I want to remain optimistic. Don't think the Japanese fandom would appreciate this, they might want to bomb Trigger. Let's hope this will not be another GGG Final or Ginrei.

That's pretty much my current theory for the finale.
Senketsu absorbs the life fiber, becomes uber-big. Ryuko powers it (the other one is fueled by anger, this one likely by emotion and who's more hot blooded than Ryuko?) while Satsuki pilots it. And the two sisters kick their mother's arse.

Don't know if this has already been stated, but "Houou" is a Chinese firebird/phoenix, and the Kanji used for "Rei" means "gratitude".

They better reveal something about Hououmaru by shows end. Well, the don't have to, but it would be surprising if she was a super double agent. She's either a double agent or she's just a servant that serves the purpose like the rest of Ragyou's flunkies. Only thing is they're resting with the fishes when offered earlier to the Primordial Life Fiber. Or she's the true being that may throw Ragyou's plan in the can. I tell you that ending with Ragyou cackling (Romi Park is da bomb as all hell) all loud and the hyper perspective is on par with the mid to late 80's, with some early 90's animations, when emphasizing the main villain. You don't see that stuff anymore in the newer stuff. Not like this. That is what the old school robot shows and revivals were about. Hyperbole. This is what GGG was about, this is what Dangaioh was about, this is what Gainax was about. This was what animation could do, not all that computer crap.

Well, the folks on reddit have managed to unearth a clue that says the final episode might be taking off the ground literally. DAMN!!! I wondered if that building would play a role. Then folks forgot about it. Then the fact that everything is supposed to be happening at Honnouji Academy school grounds. Ragyou, the school, the transmitter, the satellite (could there be a super COVER out there) and finally the SS Naked Sol getting split into two pieces, respecting of a blade covered with the same anti-life fiber materal. Folks, we may very well be getting a giant robot the likes of TTGL. So expect screaming sisters letting it all loose.
All the more reason ep. 24 will be epic. Ragyou's on a whole different level than before, but so isn't this show. It's the female madness of Trigger.

I find the way the Elite Four's outfits have improved to be strangely reminiscent of mecha shows where they go from Mk. 1 -> Heavier bulkier but stronger mk2 -> even stronger mk.3 -> powerful yet sleek and streamlined, perfecting the mecha.
