I still think Southampton will burn out. I'll be surprised if they're in it. |

Well, not so sad, that's really the only way to combat debt within football clubs, especially one like Parma who's so indeebt that couldn't pay illumination and security for his own stadium, and hasn't paid his players in over 3 months I believe...

The 2015 Major League Soccer regular season won't kick off for a couple more weeks (potential CBA shenanigans notwithstanding), but two MLS sides are commencing hostilities this week as a part of the quarter-finals of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League.
Last night, l'Impact played against Pachuca down in Mexico: The result leaves Montréal in a fairly good position for next week's second leg at the Olympic Stadium. Hopefully the locals will come out in force to cheer the team on as they seek to push into the semis. Before then, D.C. United will start off the first leg of their QF match-up on Thursday, when they will take on Alajuelense down in Costa Rica. (The return leg will be back at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. next Wednesday.)

Story of Arsenal's life in Europe under Wenger.
If his team is not drilled to play tight and tactical matches (which is almost mandatory to win Europe), that's what happens. No wonder why they are eliminated often and early in Europe when pressure is high. Still, I sure wasn't going to put money on Monaco to win like that before the match was played. |
