Does anyone have any idea how these anime production committees work?
I see this show is sponsor by it's own committee but wonder why the hell was this animated if they weren't going to give a serious budget to it. It's questionable at this point on if they expected it to sell or not since the staff working on this show have shown they clearly know what's going on but don't care. I do believe this was honestly done for music promotion for the VA's with the bonus of being an LN advertisement. But it's strange on why s sponsor would spend expensive money of veteran VA's though for that purpose. I found out that the VA's Aoi Yuuki, Ayana Taketatsu, Yui Ogura, and Uchida Maaya all did a Image Song album for this series a year before it was animated. Which we know Aoi Yuuki and Ayana Taketastu does the OP for anime as the group name Petit Milday. While the ED is them doing with the other two female cast. Plus with all these character songs coming out and how they skipping through volumes like no tomorrow because if they were doing at a slow pace a lot of these characters we wouldn't be seeing. |

Diomedea the anime company working on this series. It is doing the unthinkable by working on 4 different animes this season. Because of that, they have to prioritize which anime to concentrate on. Of course, Kantai Collection is the easy pick for the cash cow, so they focused most on that. The other animes had to suffer because of it. If you noticed, production on this anime is really bad. They are not a powerhouse studio like Sunrise, which is actually working on 5 different projects right now, although production value is questionable on them as well. Quality studios like Kyoto Animation usually only work on one project at a time (or one per season). As for reasons why this anime is made, mostly, it is to promote the sales of the novels. Anything extra is the anime company trying to make more money.

With how I'm seeing it alot of these VA's are being used to produce music for this show. I do feel beside it being an LN advertisement it was meant be used for musical profit off the VA's as well. Especially if you look at this list of character songs. It don't make logically sense to invest all this money on a LN that was so unknown before and expecting it to sell when you chose a studio doing too many things at once. http://vgmdb.net/product/3283 |

Well, getting veteran VAs to sing songs is one way to profit off the series. As far as why veteran VAs will take this job? Well, they'll take anything they can get that fits in their schedule. They, too, are in the business of making money. I'm not exactly sure how Diomedea ended up doing 4 shows at the same time. It could be greed on their part, they could have fallen behind schedule on certain series, or it could their sponsors forcing them to bring out the shows this season.
Even studios like Sunrise turned down making a sequel to Accel World last year because of thier busy schedule. It's kind of baffling why Diomedea did this.

If it's about cutting costs, it doesn't make sense. Wasn't World Break supposed to be the series with the biggest promotion content among the adaptations scheduled?

This shows seem to be heading to making about 1k or probably a little bit less for it's first BD coming out on the 25th of this month. Less chances of this getting a season two if the committee was expecting this to be a big seller. Unless the Merchandise from the music of the VA's and LN boost was what they were truly aiming for.

Not really an asspull considering that the whole premise is past lives is what gives them powers. And that Moroha was godmode in his pastlives so it's only natural that he'll slowly remember his powers piece by piece. It's a lot like real life that things we do can trigger memories of like our childhood and what not.

ehehe, this was an enjoyable episode, but nothing really happened. I don't care about the fights, they have never been engaging so they seems just there to me (it happens often, not just here). But here particularly so it was welcomed they didn't portrayed them seriously. Despite someone died That's a bit confusing in the Moroha's strategy. I let you live just to be killed by your master
Apparently Angela is talking with someone, and given her expression when Satsuki brought Moroha up, it's likely Shizuno is the one on the other side of the phone, as already happened before after all. But it could be also Edward. The new girl is always cute. Stealing Satsuki's little sister place now? It was fun, I'm now accustomed to this kind of gags Ah, that would be unfortunate. I don't think I could hope they'll skip it and go straight to Shizuno's considering the former role in the show.

I feel bad for the author for getting such a shitty adaption of his LN. The VA's that do the two heroines also liked the original as well. I do wonder how they feel about this show being so terrible and not selling. I don't think anyone is going to go to the World Break event on June 22th despite the event ticket for the first BD including mainly all of the main female cast along with Kaito Ishikawa. Since the sales for it right now seem to be 620 BD and 285 DVD.
I do blame this World Break Production Committee by not choosing a better studio and giving the anime more budget. Along with the fact of allowing the original to be distorted so much for the sake of gag. Last edited by Flames; 2015-03-11 at 08:45. |
