Aright, this episode highlighted one of the things I hate about this show, the rivalry between Slaine and Inaho. Frankly, it sucks, there was no proper development from both of them to have this kind of intense hate. Sure, off screen there was hatred between the fans, but the actual character? There was none.
And so I guess the necklace can be interpreted as princess choosing Inaho?

Inaho has all the reasons to dislike Slaine. Slaine hates Inahos guts because he got NTRed. Quote:

They need to hurry up and recover Inaho. There are two OP mechs out there that will start slaughtering the Earth side of this conflict. The yo-yo mech and the one with funnels!
Kind of too bad that Asseylum and Inaho barely got single words across to each other before Inaho passed out and his eye....took over. Ok that's kind of scary. Honestly for a moment I thought it was some crazy hidden trick by the military to have him assassinate Asseylum on sight ! Luckily I vastly overestimated the Earth military and them having the intelligence to set something like that up . No shock that Lemria isn't planning on leaving. She's on the Slaine wagon and there's no turning back at this point. He'll either succeed and she'll take whatever meager role he'll give to her or he'll lose and she'll end up dead. Quote:

To be frank, I don't really see any chemistry between Slaine and Asseylum. So despite the fact that I like Slaine, I really don't see why people would want to see them end up at this point.. Though, I just think Asseylum is a horrible character, but that is a different story.

At first I thought the eye was programmed to kill Asseylum when Inaho found her. That would've been what the Earth forces leaders would've done if they were smart.

but inaho himself is programing the eye. the eye is evolving on its own. apparently it gained speech functions.. haha. anyways, not quite the reunion i was hoping for, but i'll take it. anyways, slaine is officially unredeemable now (as if that wasn't clear 5 or so eps ago). the rehash of The Question was neat, but this time it went so much further in terms of intention.

Well, that was a really fast paced battle episode. Though with two more episodes to go, I honestly don't know where this is going to go.
We have the UFE launching an attack on the Moon base, we have them trying to assassinate Asseylum. Baroucruz and Harklight are out there fighting against them, Harklight finally changing into his knight attire. Lemrina and Asseylum still really don't care for each other, but Lemrina is going to stay at the base while Asseylum tries to escape with her life. Inaho tries to stop the assassination, however, his eye continues to pain him. His eye is now a separate artificial intelligence, and temporarily takes over Inaho's mind and body when everything short circuits. Slaine and Inaho have their duel, to which of course, neither wins. However, they seemed to have switched places from the last time they fought on Earth. Asseylum talks to the "Eye" of Inaho, which tells her Inaho's feelings and that help will come for him. She asks the eye to tell Inaho that she feels the same and to do a favor for her, which I think will be towards Slaine, who they cut to just as they are mentioning the favor. She's about to leave, but is rescued and stopped by Klancain, who from his talk to Slaine earlier, seems to be more loyal to her grandfather even more so than her. So, what will happen next? Well, we have two more episodes, I'm guessing Klancain is going to do something since he's just be sort of an add on this episode. Inaho's eye is now it's own being and can take over his body, I have no idea what that does to his brain. Since Inaho and Slaine had their (Char/Amuro-like) dual this episode, I'm doubting that they will fight against each other again. I'm actually thinking that it will be Slaine that finds Inaho first thanks to that necklace clue. Klancain will probably take Asseylum to his ship, since I can't see him going to or letting her go to the Deucalion, and he might consider what he thinks the wishes of the Emperor would be, more important than that of the princess. Well, a really good battle episode, and a lot of developments going on here. Though honestly, the end can't come sooner for me, this series is exhausting.
