I kinda wanna look at the activities calendar that this school has^^;;. Like, training camp, autumn election, stagiare period, school festival, I know Senzaemon said that like 10% of the student body manages to pass, but at this rate, you might as well have everyone from the Polar Star dorm, the Elite Ten, Hisako and her creepy fangirl, Houjou, the aldini twins, Hayama, Ikumi, Alice and her Berserker (they remind me of Ilya and Berserker from Fate>v<), basically all the characters we know that went to the election because every other no name student will be dead, and it'll turn into Highschool of the Fried.

The REAL question now is whether he'd be allowed to bring in other people, since he submitted the application with his name alone (on the deadline day).

The previous chapter mentioned you can either sign up a a group, or individually. But if its past the deadline, is Souma still allowed to hire volunteers for his stall?

I can't even see him doing this alone. It'll be the asspull of all asspulls if he manages to beat Kuga by himself.

Ignore that bulu, some users just wanna start trouble. Anyhoo, back on topic, I wanna go back some chapters if possible. At first I thought Soma would take on most of the Elite 10, but based on the fueling of the fire, how would you make the elite 10 vs. first year battles? I want Souma to face not only IV, but that mob boss 9th seat (although I wouldn't be surprised if his former flunky decided to face him). Soma vs. Erina I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be one of the final battles of this series, and if it had an open ending.

Oh my bad...I really forgot about that...Thanks. But yeah, she had been less aggressive toward him recently.

Well, you're the 1st one I've come across to term him that way.

Its mostly Yugi/Kuga.

Aren't you more interested in what he needs to do from now till then?

Frankly speaking, there's less than 6 months till the 3rd years graduate, so I don't think there's enough time for him to face any of them.

Him getting that Shokugeki with Kuga's a real possibility, but he has to overcome this festival first, which I doubt he can (he'd give Kuga a good fight, though, I'd reckon).

I'm still sticking to my belief Hayama will be the first to successfully initiate a Shokugeki with one of the E10, be it with or w/o the seat on the line.

Going back to your point of the Erina/Souma showdown, I believe it'll happen much later down the road, not anytime now, or in the near future.

Though I think after this festival's over, we may get some interaction between Soma and, which seat was the third year with the long hair and the crazy looks? The one that gave Soma a smile after his big challenge declaration. I just wanna hope that she'll be a third year ally like I hope the first seat is. I still laughed my butt off when I saw how Megumi-like he was. I almost wanted Megumi to stand up and yell at him saying, NO! THAT IS NOT HOW YOU DO STAGE FRIGHT SHYNESS! and him apologizing>v<.

Nah, I seriously doubt it'll be that way. They'd slug it out to see who deserves to get the top seat in Tootsuki.

I think Souma's final hurdle would be in the form of his father. And the judge presiding their match? Who else could it ******* be but Nakiri Erina?

The 2nd seat? She seems interested/intrigued in him, & I wouldn't surprised if she pops in to offer Souma some valuable advice for the festival. I was a tad disappointed she didn't utter a single word during the tea ceremony, but I think from now till her graduation, the first seat & her would get much more exposure, as compared to the others.

Yeah, the other side of Eishi took me (maybe all of us) by surprise. I mean, from the first seats we've witnessed so far (Doujima & Shinomiya), you can't picture them having those sort of Megumi-like breakdowns.

Just to let you guys know, Souma losing wouldn't get him expelled. Its running a loss/being in a deficit (in business terms) would result in him getting expelled.

So he can break even, or make a profit, but lose to Yugi, & still remain in the school.

Having finally read the chapter I'd say

It's rather unlikely that Souma can outsell the 8th seat. In terms of bulk and brand Souma faces an insurmountable uphill battle. I figure it'll end up being his moral victory somehow. Like him getting a better rating from the culinary experts or as happens often in school festival arcs him sucking in the beginning due to his inherent disadvantages but winning the final day of the festival.
