"TV animation "Charlotte" the latest key visual published. Atmosphere is completely different, with the two visuals suggesting story." |

I guess this will turn nasty at the level of Steins;Gate, where a bunch of random teenagers with exposure to a special ability will be targeted with an organization that's interested in acquiring said ability/ies.

When you are advertising your series as the next Angel Beats, and you consider Angel Beats to be the worst series from the studio (until Glasslip came around) and also the worst Key series, it doesn't give you exactly the best of impressions. However, in interviews they did admit that they "screwed up" Angel Beats and they wanted to make Charlotte with better direction, so I will see (skeptically). |

Well, somehow a kind anon translate the Charlotte 4-koma. And after reading it, that's rather funny way to use their power there. We already know what their power from the promo. And it seems that it's rather useless. But seeing it in action really gives better view of them.

Right, my standard reaction to a PA Works show. (Edit: warning is from Tari Tari)
Well, it's certainly an interesting journey. I started doing screencaps for Little Busters because a lot of stupid stuff that happens in it that I found funny, and then I did it for Glasslip for arguably the same reasons though Little Busters actually turned out good and Glasslip... was Glasslip. So I was thinking that this kind of shit happens from both areas, so what happens if they combine? I then went off to Shirobako expecting similar lolstuff but that turned out to be good which is fine too. It's unfortunate I became more busier during that timeframe since I felt like I should have done more. And of course, Angel Beats was my first encounter with PA Works, excluding Canaan which I just ended up dropping. So it should be interesting to see how things have changed. Of course, the mindset has changed a bit. Angel Beats has definitely sunk in mind once I realized it was really just a poor man's Little Busters. On the other hand, when Angel Beats aired I was directly comparing it against previous Key animu, and in retrospect some of them didn't really deserve the pedestal they were put on. AIR just hasn't aged well at all, and the first season of Clannad seems kinda lacking if you look at the outline in the grand scheme of things, grey haired student presidents excluded. It's just kinda like "wait, why did nobody question this at the time ?" much like 1/2 the shit that happened in a show like Anohana. I don't really mind though, since if you enjoy it at the time, that's all that matters.
