Takeru is my favourite. So far, he's the only one that their competitors cannot crack psychologically or physically.

Episode 7:
Funny episode, not much competition but more like a breather. They also analyze food too? Lol. I expect pacing to pick up again soon but the boys are really getting along now as more than just competitors but also friends. Honan's skills have really improved by the looks of it.

Episode 7
So it is training time with Saisei in their state of the art stride training facility with all the modern equipment and stuff. The Honan guys now find out the reason behind Saisei being so good. Their training schedule was intense. And they ended this training session with each of them getting better, even Sakurai got better with her relationing. And Fujiwara either has had a past interaction with Sakurai and Yagami and the two don't remember, or the two in their flashback were similar looking kids – but I'm inclined to believe it's the former case. Now the real tournament will start. Hopefully things will get exciting. |

Sakurai is one luck girl...
On another note, I didn't expect Honan to compete against Riku's brother's team right away (I'm guessing that lead guy is his brother). Can't imagine they will win but surprising they'll encounter a loss so early.

Episode 8:
Can't win them all I guess. This is a reminder that Honan needs to train more and improve themselves. At least they gave it their all this time. The moody atmosphere of the aftermath was not pleasant... Nana's father also comes to Japan and there's some glimpse of her childhood. I hope she gets more characterization as the main heroine. Nice to know how she got started on the sport though. There's interpersonal problems in this series so I guess the story got more tense. I think they'll get over it soon and make a big comeback, particular Riku. The guy is a lot better when he smiles. Based on PV, it's a water park episode next time? Time for some man service

Episode 8
So Nana's dad and Riku's onii-san are in Kakyoin. The whole team now has their minds filled with a lot of things. And on top of that, Kakyoin is toying with them – letting them catch up and then instantly accelerating away. Riku has to get over his "I can't beat my onii-san" mindset and not care about who he's up against. Nana should also not care about anything else and just believe in her teammates and do her best. Kyouseke might not have much problems since his mindset looks like it's good as he is giving it his best like always. And Fujiwara is getting depressed that he couldn't run faster even though he gives it his all. These guys need to get their act together. And in the next episode we will get Nana in a bikini. But it'll be hard to not see the half naked dudes around her.... But at least there will be Nana in a bikini to look at. |

I understand Riku's frustration but he seriously needs to stop wallowing in self pity and start practicing hard. His brother got to where he is because he practices like a maniac. Riku should realize this.
Nana...that girl needs those horse goggles to prevent her from getting distracted by the other relationer. When will she ever learn to focus on her job and her team and absolutely nothing and no one else?! Also, she needs to strategize and use her head more. Sheesh, she's beginning to annoy me. If anything, I think the glasses guy would have been a better relationer.

End of summer final tournament!
Sakurai's dad.. just complicated things.. Kakyoin sure are favorites this time. This not gonna be an easy race, not that all the others before were. Honan got blown away like a bunch of slowpokes. That was a serious blow for the team..

But I am rooting for her to kick her father's behind! He seems to care more about his career than his own daughter!

Seriously, that Riku guy eserves to lose, guy keeps feeling sorry for himself and shitting his pants everytime he hears his brother's name, yeah look, we get it, the brother is better than him, but could he please concentrate on the task at hand instead of losing himself in crippling fear? It's not like he met his torturer from when he was a POW, it's just that the other guy is better and he should hurry up and come to terms with that, because he's by far the single most annoying thing on this show, even Nana with her docile personality doesn't get on my nerves as this guy does.

Episode 9:
Oh I get what they mean by "special training" now. Yup, water park style with shirtless guys. In the meantime, I guess Riku feels a bit down with his progress. Yeah as much as I found it fun, it was too goofy to take seriously for the team to get back on track again. Hopefully they can prove themselves in the upcoming competitions again.

I actually felt sorry for Tomoe at the beginning of the episode because of how Riku treated him. I haven't seen anything wrong with Tomoe's action from all the flashbacks Riku had. If anything, all I see is Riku lacking perseverance, lack confidence, and too much self-pity...and he blames his brother for all his weaknesses.

Episode 9
So everyone is stressed out over their shortcomings which were exposed in their race against Kakyoin. And to relieve some of that stress they go to the pool. The side mission is to get Fujiwara and Yagami to work together as their relation is always off since their not really focusing on making a perfect relation mainly because of the drubbing they got. After failing to get them to work together in some stuff, the two end up working together to finish up the ginormous bucket of snow Nana ordered. After that they make the perfect relation in their practice run. Riku has this issue that he thinks that everyone is looking down on him even when no one is. Tomoe was just feeling lonely and wanted someone to run with so naturally he would try to get his brother into the thing. But Riku was obviously not as good as his brother so he couldn't keep up. And Tomoe would try to cheer him up by telling him to try harder. But Riku gave up and started to think of this as Tomoe looking down on him. The same happens here as Fujiwara was just telling him to try a bit harder to make a perfect relation and Riku started to think that he's being looked down on and that Fujiwara thinks he is perfect himself and all the problems are in Riku. So yeah, he should get over this. |

Time to get cracking!
They need to work hard on their skills. Nana's dad pushing her to Kakyoin.. Let the problems begin. They're gonna need to work on their relationships.. Maybe pool time will help. Takeru & Riku kept clashing all the time..
