Pretty sure I heard "people die when they are shot" from the finale lol
Fun series overall. Love is justice! I'll miss this show and even though it was a short, it was still quite entertaining.

Episode 13
Damn! Luluco! She just evolved into a cool girl. She was super cool when taking down the blackholein. And in the end she became sekushi as Miss Trigger (lol). Justice skeleton got promoted. Good for him. This was some over the top ridiculous shit. Enjoyable from the beginning down to the last minute. Luluco was cute which made it better. And sekushi Luluco was icing on top. Need more sekushi Luluco though. Now to wait for Little Witch Academia. |

In hindsight, it makes sense. She's this tiny little no one dragged into the world of the big boys almost by chance. She aspired to be "normal" but of course she instead became the craziest kind of crazy. She went through Kill la Kill, LWA, S&MwV, Inferno Cop. And in the end her love for something that most would see as completely empty managed to drive her through AND give meaning to that emptiness, filling it. It ties in with an analysis Bobduh made of episode 11 about how the whole idea of "trash becoming the most precious thing in the world" seems like a self-aware reflection of Imaishi about his love of uber-nonsensical whimsy and often raunchy comedy. So the end answer is: even if you're making stuff that would be considered trash by anyone, as long as you fill it with love you can make something utterly amazing.
That I can rally behind as a motto for Trigger . (also pointing out: they referenced everything, but left out When Superpowered Battles Become Commonplace. Arguably Trigger's main attempt at being "normal". Though I didn't get any Ninja Slayer references either, and I was actually surprised by that)

Wasn't the YEEART thing a reference to Ninja Slayer? I mean, I really don't know since I gave up on Ninja Slayer... extremely fast. But I'd heard some things that implied it was from that.
Anyway, this was a lovely series. I wish Trigger would make more things like this... I've tried all their works aside from Inou Battle (never heard of it, somehow) and, aside from this one, only LWA and KLK appealed to me in any way. And even then, LWA seemed very plain and ordinary, not particularly praiseworthy, to me, and despite how much I loved KLK's charm, something about it was just outright exhausting to watch, to the point where I couldn't bring myself to watch it past the second episode. Luluco was perfect, though. It had a great sense of humor, tons of charm (this being the most important thing I really expect out of the studio), and it even ended up being kind of sweet in the end.

And yeah, Trigger have been weirdly inconsistent in their output, but I really appreciate their visual design and the charming feel of sincerity that oozes from most of their stuff. If I had to rank I'd say for me it's Kill la Kill > Luluco ~ Little Witch Academia (btw: animated series, woo-hoo!) > Kiznaiver > Inferno Cop > Ninja Slayer >>> Inou Battle, an utterly forgettable Light Novel adaptation that looked like a poor man's Oregairu. Kiznaiver depends on the ending but while I am not a fan of its groan-worthy teen angst shenanigans I found it had some good moments and most importantly an amazing visual design all through, perhaps the best seen from the studio yet. It just looks gorgeous. Luluco was really great tho, the best anime short I've seen probably. It had charm, fun, and still a hint of a plot and a theme. As much as one could ask from a 13 episode, 7 minutes-per-episode show.

I know I'm an episode late, but did anyone else notice that Keiji's "Awake! Judgment gun morphing!" form was the God Phoenix from Gatchaman? Old school badass.
You know there are two movies, right?

Criminal I say! On the plus side I managed to marathon it from start to finish. So many hot blooded ness! I feel like I just rematched the gurren laggaan movies in fast forward
Also really Trigger? She's 13 years old! Have some decorum please
