I can at the moment only think of two books related to alchemy.
The first one is Bergier and Pauwels' "le Matin des Magiciens", which mixes alchemy, nazis, atlantis, etc.. and how the alchemist were already aware of the nuclear bomb, so I probably wouldn't take it too seriously.. though it is considered by many to be the start of the New Age movement The second one would be Fulcanelli's "Mistery of the Cathedrals", which describes how within the design of the cathedrals we can find detailed instructions for creating the philosopher's stone. The first one is reasonably light reading, while the second one is full of symbology almost to the point of unreadability.. I'm sure there must be more reasonable options out there, but they are the only ones that currently come to mind.. <edit> also if anyone knows any book about the key of solomon or other magic circles, where transmutation circles might have been based upon, they could also be of interest. |

Discoveries: Alchemy : The Great Secret, that would be a great book if you want to know alll about about alchemy, but is does not teach you how to perform alchemy but it talks about the stone and everything.
![]() Book Description Medieval alchemists, forerunners of today's chemists, sought to transmute base metals into gold. This lively illustrated history explores intriguing aspects of this mix of science, philosophy, art, religion, and magic, whose roots go back to ancient Egypt. this is a great starter book if u want to skim the surface of alchemy |
