In preparation for Super Robot Taisen L, I marathon'd the Anime, which was conveniently uploaded on Hulu (Japanese with English subs if I might add). It was decent, definitely something I'd recommend to others. Now there's something that has my curiosity, which is a major spoiler so open at your own risk!
Spoiler for Name that Mech!:
And for a better screenshot of the Linebarrel from Super Robot Taisen L... Spoiler for Super Robot Taisen L:

That mech is from the manga. Or rather the pilot/prototype of the manga. The mech is simply known as "Machina" in the anime I guess they put it in as a cameo.

Finally finished watching this series, been wanting to since I watched up to episode 4, but I guess everyone lost interest in it, but was able to watch it all on crunchyroll. I mostly agree with what Deathkillz said:I really enjoyed the show, the first few episodes had alot of fanservice and humor and Koichi was a jerk, but thats actually one of the reasons I wanted to fiish it, because he was different than most heroes, and I wanted to see how he was going to turn out. I didn't mind the harem-aspect of the show though I knew it would be KoichixEmi. Was nice the other girls actually kissed him and got to pretty much show their feelings toward him. The only thing that bugged me was Emi never got to kiss him...well I was expecting Suzuna to kiss him aswell but that never happened but atleast Emi should have! Ah well, atleast they ended up together.
I would have liked if the epilogue was a little longer and maybe showed what everyone was doing afterwards instead of clips of the whole series, but nothing is perfect. Was a good mecha, and I don't regret watching it. I did watch it all in the span of three days, so I'm glad it had somthing in it that made me wanting to come back and watch more. 8.5/10 Series rating.

Plot: Pretty standard stuff. Too bad that they didn't and might never cover the latter manga volume.
Character: Beside Koichi, nothing much to say. It's quite refreshing to see a character like this: Asshole of Assholes turned Man. I could see his impulse, however, the development is fast and therefore doesn't that good. Mechanics and Battle: CG, but on the lower spectrum. Guess that not every studio could do it like Sunrise. I do like Linebarrels and Vargant, though. Plus, people in suit. Music: Not that memorable. The ALI Project opening failed to impress me. Overall: 7.5 on 10. I enjoy this, but mainly it encouraged me to read the manga. Wish that they would make another season, and not rushed like this. Last edited by Fireminer; 2014-05-28 at 22:54. |
