...that CG would have been top of the line if this was produced in the early 2000's.
And yeah, while I generally am more forgiving of 3DCG rendered animation (I can tolerate like the 3DCG in Berserk)...this is just lame. Definitely would have been better as 2D animation if this was the result on that budget.

- I don't even want to consider Live action movies of games nowadays--its almost as if everybody making live action adaptations of popular games are taking tips from Uwe Boll. About the only Fighting game movie I thought was anywhere near good was the original Mortal Kombat movie from 1995, and I'm probably all alone in that regard.
MAYBE this movie will actually make up for the CGI in storytelling, who knows. But while there are some franchises that would work well in live action, more over-the-top shows like those based on KoF or series like JoJo are better served with animation. Making them live-action...actually makes it less believable or enjoyable.

Aside from the the first Mortal Kombat movie, I think there are a bunch of okay-to-good video-game movies that provides real popcorn fun such as: Tomb Raider 1 & 2 Prince of Persia Doom Silent Hill 1 Warcraft I also enjoyed the two Hitman movies to an extend. I haven’t seen Assassin’s Creed movie yet. Quote:

Tekken also got a CGI movie. While its plot is nah, the fight between Jin, Kazuya and Heihachi was awesome and a bit ridiculous cos they are family
On the other hand, I never watched the two Tekken liveaction films |
