Wow, this is like having just completed a game tutorial. All that was missing for the backstory to be narrated dramatically. Also, wow, I was starting to feel sorry for poor Theo. There he is, minding his own business, only to have this complete stranger latch onto him and start ordering him around.
Also, I spent too much time trying to figure out what's going on with the mage's cape. How is it attached to her outfit? Or is it not attached and is just kind of following her around? (That would be cute.) Princess seems to have turned pretty hardcore over the years, although I'm not quite sure why she's apparently a bad guy now, but also I'm not sure I care enough to find out. Poor prince, though. And what a waste of a battle butler to have him just randomly standing around. |

Anyways, so far I'm enjoying it but it definitely felt rushed. I compared it to the manga adaptation and there are a lot of extra details that are left out of the 1st episode. So... I'm a bit worried, to be honest. In addition, the visuals are good but not great. Siluca, though, is AWESOME. I like her a lot already

I think she will keep wearing that clothes due to one of the below possibilities (or both?):
All in all, if we're lucky, we'll see her wearing different clothes throughout the series. I mean, she won't be sleeping on the bed wearing that, right?

I quite liked this episode. Nothing groundbreaking, but competently told. I like the protagonists as well.
<sigh> I guess we'll be hearing the manga purists complaining throughout the entirety of the series, aren't we?

No idea if it was a light novel or manga. The complaints are always the same... too rushed compared to the original source, did leave out this vital interaction, changed that plot detail, etc. etc. It gets really tiring to read the same complaints series after series.

Yeah, the original source is a light novel. There is a manga adaptation that has been going for a while now (that's the one I was comparing the anime adaptation to) and the novel. There isn't much discussion from novel readers on the dedicated thread, though.

this is a really good adaptation..
I'm glad they rushed the boring part but still emphasizing lots of important things They explained how Crest worked in a very clear way looking forward for more Theo-Shiruka's antics in the future I hope they are doing some good and slow explanation for the political part since the battle might not starting soon Focusing a bit on slice of life part is good also The art is beautiful and the opening song is also good |
