You know you play Dynasty Warriors or know about Romance of the Three Kingdoms a lot when you immediately recognize who's who in the trailer.
I wonder if this game will use the heroes unit like from Total War Warhammer for characters like Lu Bu and Guan Yu? Also, i wonder if the game will take inspiration from either historical records, the ROTK novel or both?

^You can play the game in two modes, one like in Total War Warhammer where Hero units can fight hundreds of regular units single handedly or in Classic mode like the regular Total War games where hero units are just protected by bodyguards.

Had been on the fence on 3K since I wasn't too impressed by the the whole theme compared to the previous ones, but pulled the trigger and I am glad I did. The game is running spectacularly compared to many of the previous titles. Reviews on the game especially on steam are very positive because of this and it seems they have finally taken the game in the right direction. Campaign speed and movement is super smooth and there are some many things to keep track of to keep you busy/reading each turn. It can be a little overwhelming at times. One thing that is a huge disappointment for me are the visuals and graphics. It seems as though in order to improve overall performance, they had to reduce the quality of the graphics, both in the campaign and in battle.
I like the whole campaign style, but you can tell the visuals on the campaign were turned down. In battle, the graphics of the units and whatnot are below mediocre and reminiscent of Atilla graphics...even Rome 2 graphics. Huge turn off for me, but at least the game is running super smooth. I have a nvidia 2080 and am running everything on max settings etc V-sync and shadows. EDIT: FYI, "delegate" when you are fighting an enemy is the same as "auto-resolve." I am also not a huge fan of the "romance" gameplay with the generals. It was interesting at first, but it was quite annoying to have enemy generals slay hundreds of your units before being taken down. Though, when it's general on general, they are quite easy to take down and also if he/she is overwhelmed but the casualties will always be high. The dialogue can be a bit...too much at times. Too much talking lol. The downside of playing the regular style general + his bodyguards are that you do not have access to ANY abilities. Quite unfortunate because those can turn the tide.
