You mean like Aura Battler Dunbine? True, through there very few magical mecha I can recall. I think was Dual - Parallel World or something but I don't know if that was Sunrise.

i hope it doesn't go to the route of the "dark magical girl" trend that tried to fill the market these days.

That was really good. The episode was mostly fighting with only a tiny bit of exposition but the fights were awesome enough to hook me. This has something for magical girls and mecha fans alike. It being anime original is the cherry on top, plenty of room for fun speculation.

I was rather amused that Mangetsu thought she had been Isekai'd only to be immediately shot down because that's what I thought happened too (in fact, I went "not another isekai" at some point)

And I'm going to talk about the elephant in the room: yes, that totally reminded me of Madoka. Especially with the OP showing each girl with their soul gem or whatever it's called.

Well, I'm definitely in for the second episode which hopefully will reveal more of the backstory as Mangetsu gets clued in on what the heck just happened to her.

Yeah, can't say this episode explained much. I think it will hook mecha lovers though, at least the ones not adverse to SD. The fights were really awesome, and how often are mechs animated in 2D lately? Mangetsu's hot-bloodedness during her fight was also nice. I hope we'll keep seeing that kind of spirit from her in the future!

Feels like a mix of Fate/Stay Night, Madoka Magica, and Gundam Build Fighters. The way Mangetsu fires off her sword like a giant beam is so much like Artoria's Excalibur. Mecha action seems pretty good if not offended by the SD designs of them. Thought she was isekai'd but doesn't seem that way since the preview shows them back in the real world.

That was such a strong start just like the whole magic mecha thing and that power that girl had

That was waay more action orientated and over top than I expected to be honest. They were definitely posting the battle tournament aspect to hook you in even at expense little explanation of what is going on. But that's okay since what 2nd episodes are usually for. As speculate it was fun to watch and like how expressive the mechs are. Characters seem pretty standard as magical girl shows with leading character being kind of ditz and supporting one serious but kind of awkward. They're a bit stock for this kind of genre so hopefully they will branch out a bit sooner than later. Music and background also stood out, with former eerie tones mixing with the later dark, barren and beaten landscape.

I'm not completely sold but I'm looking forward to see where this goes for the moment.

Looked good enough but I don't dig the MC being so OP since the beginning. The fights aren't gonna be any fun with such a massive gap in power.

I'm gonna give it one more episode but I'm probably gonna drop it.

Feels like Marchen Madchen done correctly, and without the production problems.

The anime seems like someone merged Super Robot Wars, Madoka and Nanoha in a blender, the cocktail have a unique taste but need more sip to taste if is good or no.

The start was very sudden, first isekai esque but more conventional later on, wait to see what come next, that preview raise further questions too

Yeah not fan of the trope, of least knowledgeable/skilled person getting the best shit, probably due to genes or some nonsense and then trashing someone who should be better than her through force of Deus Ex Machina.

Also I wonder if they'll even try to explain why this fight to see who's the best mage is between teenage girls, when the sages looked older.

Heaven Pennies, Two Sundays Come Together, what?
They have names representing moon you know.
And they are worth more than just pennies falling down from heaven.

I don't know, but I kind of feel bad for this Anna and the other just got destroyed in this episode for some reason.

Well, I'm in.

Oh right, I think she uses Iphone 7 or 8.
