Gotta love it. Illya has powered up for one reason, and one reason alone. Slapping Miyu !
The secrets finally get dragged out into the open. Miyu being not just a minor grail or anything, but a naturally born holy grail. No fake origins there, just naturally born into OP land. Her very existence lead to the creation of the cards and everything else. Who knew Gil had so many shields ? Going to be a tough situation here, but should be good. This episode had a nice amount of action and revelations and its only going to step up to another level with Illya going into that state. Shocking enough that even Gil has to pause to take it in.

So... If I remember correctly, the kaleidostick draws potential from different versions of the wielder living in other worlds, or something like that.
So... Using both sticks at once does... what exactly? That being said, I really loved this episode and how it concluded. Illya is "getting real", so to speak. |

With the same birthday as Illya and as a grail, Miyu is an alternate universe equivalent of Illya. Remember what Caren called the girls? A miracle (Kuro), a necessity (Illya) and a happenstance (Miyu). Difference is Miyu wasn't born to be the key of the Holy Grail. Miyu was born with all the functions of a complete grail. The prize is her not something within her. As for Gil well the guy is shameless. So shameless that Illya feels tainted. Oh he must have an impressive noble phantasm for the girls to call it WORLDWIDE. Next week to slap Miyu Illya will have to beat the crap of Gil. This has been a long time coming since UBW. Time for some payback. He may have taken her servant, her maids but he won't take Illya friend. |

Oh that was so funny in the first half. And...WORLDWIDE lol
The action in the second half this week was neat too. My respect for Illya has grown a bit after seeing how much she wants to save her friend, Miyu. Excited for the finale!

You really shouldn't have said that, Miyu. Now Ilya got a power up with its sole purpose being to give you a good slap.
Now Miyu's secret is out. The other Holy Grail war and the cards all revolve around her. Gil must be pretty impressive for the girls to go "WorldWide". He also got bored with Ilya's pattern pretty quickly.

It's nice just to see the reactions from Illya and Kuro as well to what happens to Miyu here. Reflects their personalities pretty well. In a sense both just got pissed for different reasons. With Kuro getting angry at the implication of actually doing what Miyu asked and abandoning her. And Illya getting angry at Miyu giving up and saying something so darn distant that almost denies their friendship. Just showing how much both of them care about Miyu. Though Illya should definitely take the lead on this rescue in the state she's currently in.
Going to be some very enjoyable payback coming up. Right now Gil is between Illya and getting to Miyu....he may regret that .

Just to process the information I learned from watching this episode.....
The Holy Grail War has been performed in countless parallel worlds and not only Earth. Miyu is, actually, a natural-borned Grail with an almost human heart, and all filled-up to boot. It's not the overwhelming information I received that made me felt this episode to be awkward, but that I felt it dragging too much the pace. Illya went from this hesitant, couldn't believe attitude girl to this magical-girl, powerhouse bent on dragging Miyu out in order to give her a good slap. The problem reaching that next step is there was no build-up involved in order to feel more for Miyu and Illya's plight, IMO. |

In Fate Capsule there are so many Grail Wars in the multiverse that Alaya, Archer's boss, uses Rin as a Counter Guardian heroic spirit to trim them from getting out of hand. In Rin's universe Shirou didn't become a heroic spirit. Prisma Illya herself is different from Fate Illya. Fate Illya is an 18 year old stuck as a loli due to being a humunculus. Prima Illya was born 11 years ago and doesn't show any stunted growth. |
