Spoiler for Ep9:

One thing I appreciate from this show is that I have no idea what is going to happen from the preview. You just get a nice little scene with Chino's dad and a title that gives very little impression about what is going to happen. I kind of expected this episode to be about Syaro, but couldn't pull anything else besides that from the title.

A nice election episode and the return of Roze caught me by surprise. Kind of sad that the misunderstanding ends here . But I suppose that is for the best. Really shows how synced up Cocoa and Chino are as sisters now that they were pretty equally blindsided by this. Props to Cocoa though for handling it nicely in the moment. Even though she was shocked as heck about Roze being Rize, she let it seem to Rize like she'd known for a while. It may have protected Cocoa's dignity a bit, but it also made Rize really happy to think that Cocoa knew. The mocha disguise was top notch as well .

Also enjoyed the election side of it. Makes sense on several levels for Syaro to turn that down. It'd probably be a lonely job anyways since her circle of friends in that school likely doesn't go far beyond Rize. And not as if Rize could support her for long after she took the job since she is going to graduate. Although I suppose Megu and Maya would be around soon enough. Her need to have as much free time as possible to work is another thing. And to top it all off she loves spending time with her friends. Losing that would have been brutal.

Understandable as well that Chiya stepped back. There's another place she can shine and it doesn't have to be at school.

This episode a wonderful presentation about the different kinds of responsibility one can take, and that choosing well is also a form of responsibility. It's surprising to see that we're now three quarters of the way through the series now, and personally, I do miss not having Mocha around.

I was actually wondering last week if Roze was going to make an appearance this season, since this seemed like a good episode for it. Instead, it happened in this one, and her secret identity was finally revealed to Cocoa and Chino! I loved how shocked they were
The episode was about Chiya and Syaro but Rize kinda ended up stealing the show. That said, their story was still really good. Such a great friendship they have.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! What a joyful episode to watch, this one: it's one of those rare ones where Sharo and Cocoa get to hang out together, and the second half speaks to how much Cocoa has done for everyone.

I just love this show.

Glad to see that we got some more moments with Cocoa and Syaro. They are a good pair, but don't often just spend time together without Chiya or the other characters. Slowly Cocoa got Syaro hyped up for their singing time . Cocoa's personality probably shines the best at Ama Usa An, but she is great wherever she goes. Kind of a nice change of pace for Syaro having a friend working with her at so many different jobs. And it's perfectly Cocoa to do all of this for a sweet reason of being everyone's Santa. Being Santa isn't a cheap career .

And we're nicely set up to see Syaro and Chiya work with Chino. Hopefully Cocoa did a solid job on those other uniforms .

They actually addressed the fact they never switched back uniforms despite the fact it was winter. Rabbit House has a lot of customers for once (much to Chino's shock) and Cocoa and Rize are unavailable to help. Yellow and green to the rescue! I'm surprised Chino didn't call MaMe, I seem to remember them helping before.

Just like Rize and Chiya a few weeks ago, Cocoa and Syaro are not a pair we see often. Cocoa always acts super friendly with everyone, but Syaro is tsundere when she interacts with Cocoa. This time it felt like she let her guard down more than usual though.

We know Syaro is Cocoa's secret Santa, but the others are a mystery.

I guess from that little sequence close to the end Chino knew that Maya and Megu are too busy studying. Especially Maya who has to get some pretty high results to get in under the scholarship student position. Chino's in a different position from them going for the less elite school.

Syaro and Cocoa don't get a lot of moments together, but they are often interesting. Like Syaro slapping Cocoa during the boat race or when they were fishing together during the out of town trip. Things aren't as smooth as with Cocoa and Chiya since they are really on the same wavelength. But nice to see Syaro loosening up a bit around Cocoa. You know she cares about Cocoa, but isn't always that honest about it.

Curious to see the various Secret Santa pairs. My gut was that Cocoa and Chino would pull each other, but I suppose that was too easy. Although I still feel that Cocoa is going to buy presents not only for her Secret Santa partner, but literally everyone .

This episode is the fulfillment of many dreams, both for viewers and in-universe. In acting as a companion to the seventh episode, GochiUsa continues to impress with the depth of its content, making this series more than just an adorable slice-of-life in a beautiful town; themes of healing are also considered, and there was no better background than Christmas itself for such a theme.

So many good moments in this episode. I can't believe next week is the end already.

This episode was all kinds of sweet. So many good emotional moments and just some fun ones mixed in. Loved the growth in Chino in letting her feelings be clearly seen and heck trying to pull the surprise Santa move herself was great. Wanting more than just receiving and instead giving as much as she can to those she cares about.

Good work by Coco and Rize. Getting the unfinished uniforms completed was a big thing, but also was making brand new uniforms for Megu and Maya. They don't have to borrow from Cocoa and Rize anymore .

I'm going to miss this show.
