Looked at them right now. (No subtitles, but it didn't matter except in a couple of installments with lengthy exposition.)
They're skit comedies with the characters. Most last under a minute. For example, the first couple episodes have cute squirrels and bunnies which Asirpa promptly dispatches. She and Sugimoto end the clip eating and saying "Hinna, hinna."

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the Japan Foundation chose to stage an Ainu exhibit at least in part because Asirpa-san is the poster girl for the British Museum's first-ever manga exhibition that opens on the 23rd of May.
