I literally got chills when I found out about this, but I'll have to manage my expectations so that I won't get too hyped up lol
Edit: Can't help but feel sad about everything else you guys are mentioning: NGNL s2, Horizon s3, Tokyo Ravens s2 and even freaking Rental Magica which I think only a handful of people watched. Re:creators had a nice ending so I'm not counting that Since I'm here I'm adding Drifters into the mix heck let's even throw in some Spice and Wolf to really make it hurt!

It is odd to mix manga adaptatyions/originals to the mix.
Also, thouygh I really want it, Horizon or S&W is highly unlikely because both are finished (and because otakus hate Hasekura). We can still hope for something like NGNL2 though.

I didn't think this would end up getting a second season ever. But hey, good for it. At least I hope so. Sometimes that long awaited sequel isn't handled as well as it deserves. But at the very least getting that sequel is the first step towards one that is good.
In terms of sequels I wish would become a thing and probably won't, I'd throw out Spice and Wolf. Wish S3 was a thing.

Nach, it sold not much less than S1. But publishers had no reason to make S3 when a couple of years later author got in a fight with otakus so the LN sales also bombed (they are still better than most, but top-rankers of the same publisher are to much ahead).
