Urasawa tweeted out his joy at the news. Having him on board (he’s no pushover) along with Maruyama is encouraging. That PV is a little rough in spots TBH, but my hope is that it’s early in the process. The character designs look spot-on, anyway.

It's confirmed to be a series by the way, so it should probably be moved. The teaser looked absolutely great.
I admit I don't remember too much of the plot, but I do know this is the Urusawa manga I enjoyed the most, by far. Then again, I had a lot of issues with 20th Century Boys and Billy Bat...

I’m on pins and needles to know who the director is going to be. That’s just really important.

Even if she hasn't been the lead lady for a fair while now - for bigger titles anyway, she still gets a heck of a lot of work. Looking through her roles over the years, there's so damn many post-2012 I don't recognise. But she did keep getting work. When you've voiced major characters for K-ON, Infinite Stratos, Danganronpa and Highschool DxD, you've had some big highs.
Yoko Hikasa doing Hizuru in Summertime Rendering kind of veered towards that in a way that Maaya Sakamoto doing Shiki Ryougi in Garden of Sinners did. I guess Romi Paku is the one that comes to mind most for such a role, but given her track record, Yoko Hikasa can have faith from me in pulling it off. This is definitely breaking away from what she's known most for. I respect her for daring to do such a role.

IMHO this should be in "series", no?
Trailer looks overall very good. "Phew", more or less. Looks like an old-school Madhouse stylistically. Kawaguchi Toshio directing is fascinating. A truly legendary animator who's never directed. A directorial debut at 63 is unusual to say the least.
